We are just an hour outside Nashville, 25 minutes from Cookeville and Livingston, 20 minutes from Dale Hollow Lake, and 9 parks with hikes and waterfalls within 45 minutes. We have 3 boat launches right on the Cumberland River within 3 miles. You can hike, swim, kayak, canoe, jetski, boat, or float on the river. There are several marinas within 30 minutes. It's important to know that this is a raw and challenging terrain. It's a mountain or some may say a hill. We call it a mountain because of the rock bluffs, cliffs, and dramatic nature of this spot. As such, there are cliffs you could fall off, trails that are difficult and dangerous at times depending on your hiking skill level. These are for the adventurous type and use is at your own risk.This property has a magical feel and really allows you to connect with nature in a peaceful, beautiful, and serene place. A charming little cabin on a beautiful property! I stayed here with my three dogs, and they loved having the space to roam freely. The cabin was cozy and comfortable, and the modern bathroom was a nice touch. Both the main room and the bathroom have their own window unit. Keith was wonderful to chat with, a friendly and welcoming host.

This place is just magical. So much history and if you want to know the story, just ask Keith! Who, btw, is an incredible human who will make you feel comfortable and completely at home, but also away from it.
Amenities, there is not a kitchen, but there is a mini fridge and a microwave. There aren’t any cooking implements, or dishes, but there is a propane grill, hibachi (charcoal), and HUGE firepit, and if you need some cookware, Keith can hook you up (not to blow up his spot). The bed is super comfortable, don’t try lighting a fire unless the flu in the fireplace is wide open(ask us how we know), the shower gets hot, two ac units keep it super comfortable, and there’s a spider we named “ole’ 4 legs” (she has 8 legs, we just called her that for short) that builds a web on the porch each evening that is magical to watch.
Other than it being perfect, it’s even more perfect when it rains. The front porch is the perfect vantage point for the mist relaxing time you’ve EVER had listening to the rain.
Ok, I’m going to stop before I give away too much of the secret and we can never book it again. That being said, it’s terrible and you’ll hate it. Stay away. 😜 jk it’s amazing. Thank you, Keith!

Gorgeous cabin and I slept like a log. The bathroom was more than I expected for an 18th c. cabin. I arrived later than intended so didn't get a chance to start a fire, but the fire pit looked very inviting. Keith was very kind and accommodating to a change in schedule and suggested places for breakfast in the AM. Would absolutely recommend if you would like a relaxing place to stay for the evening.

Only disappointment was that there was no Claw foot tub like in the pics but, that wasn't a huge deal.

Very peaceful. The cabin is absolutely beautiful. Stayed for two night for my daughter’s birthday. The spring within walking distance is so beautiful and the kids loved swimming in it. The fire pit was really nice and relaxing. Grills were really clean and easy to use. Keith was very nice and very helpful. Very relaxing at night absolutely in love with it perfect for couples trying to get away!!!

Great little rustic cabin with a full bathroom attached. The queen size bed was comfortable and we slept very well. We brought our own wood so the fireplace was great! We got creative cooking with the grill and microwave, plus brought our own camp stove. Don’t forget your dishes, silverware, and other necessities for clean-up or cooking. The mini-fridge was helpful. It was under 20 degrees during our stay, the cabin is drafty, and it takes awhile to warm up, so if winter camping, bring extra blankets. We felt warm enough with our extra blankets and pillows! Keith is very friendly, and it didn’t bother us at all with the main house near by. We look forward to staying again!

The pup had blast running free and i didnt hear any sirens or traffic the whole time i was there! Keith had everything ready for me when i arrived. Great host! 1 night at Historic Log Cabin
I fell in love with this cabin from the second I stepped inside. It’s a perfect quick rustic getaway for anyone living in the middle Tennessee area. Even beyond it’s a great place to check out.
It’s the perfect blend of rustic with the real fireplace, original cabin walls from the late 1700’s and one room construction, but also has some great modern amenities like an attached bathroom, mini fridge and even a microwave! The bed is extremely comfortable and the air conditioners came in handy when it was time to sleep.
Keith was a great host, was happy to share some of the history of the property with me and made sure I had everything I needed. I will absolutely be booking this cabin again.

First off I want to say Keith was amazing me and my wife got there late and he met us outside to welcome us his land is beautiful and the cabin was perfect I wanted a little get away for me and my wife and I could not have been happier with everything that the cabin offered it was perfect it had know tv and we barely had cell service so we played bord games and spent much needed one on one time together the cabin was clean and perfect with a beautiful fire place wood burning I brought along my own wood so we had a fire every night in the beautiful fire place it was just perfect to disconnect and get away for a couple days me and my wife both loved it Keith also had a lot of information to offer about his cabin and property and the sorounding county bell buckle Tn we loved it there small town not far from the cabin and they had grate food and the bell buckle cafa thanks so much Keith for your hospitality and letting us enjoy the cabin for a couple nights we will be back everything was amazing
