The campsite is located in a private property in the outskirts of El Yunque Rainforest in the town of Luquillo. The campsite areas and facilities are about 6 out of 43 acres of all the private property of rainforest, flowers, palm trees, and various fruit trees.
The Sabana River, one of many that originate from El Yunque National Rainforest, the river goes through the property. All the campsites are close by the river with each having their own access and individual fire pits.
The local attractions are:
-El Yunque National Rainforest 15 minute drive up the mountain.
-Las Paylas rockslides (2 minute drive & 8 minutes walking).
-The Luquillo beaches which are La Pared, Playa Azul, Barneario de Luquillo. Los Kioskos de Luquillo, ect. (10 minutes drive).

This is not a hotel or boutique hotel — it’s my personal home and guesthouse, created with care to offer budget-friendly, outdoor living accommodation in a real Puerto Rican neighborhood. There are three units on the property:
• The Casita, located in the back and completely private sleeps 3

🌿 A Few Quick Notes
We provide a clean, comfortable, and affordable stay — but don’t offer upscale hotel amenities like single-use plastic shampoos or conditioners. Instead, we provide an all-natural Castile soap in hand pumps that can be used for the whole body.
Also, roosters are part of daily life in Puerto Rican neighborhoods. You may hear them at unexpected hours — it’s part of the local soundscape. There are no roosters next door, but a neighbor up the hill has a few.

By kayak you may visit, preferably at new moon night, one of the 20ths world's unique Bioluminiscent Bay. PR has 3 and one of those is just minutes away to experience!
You'll get to the shack house by a dirty and bumpy road, 32 steps up stairs, must be in shape!
Also you can anchor your boat almost in front of the property (there is no dock for boats there, but you may dock your dingy while visiting Parguera Village, advanced notification has to be made for arrangement.)
Birds, lizzards, manatees, starfishes, stingrays, dolphins, brilliant stars night and breathtaking blue skies, don't say about our sunsets and sunrises! Amazing cays are another natural atractions, ask for Mata La Gata sea pool area. Water in front of the house isn't suitable for swimming if you are not related to waters surrounded by mangroves but you may visit Parguera sea sighting by your boat, by in site boat rental at Parguera, parasailing, diving and many other tours... By car there are plenty of different kind of beaches at nearby towns. There are safe trails to explore.

Puerto Rico, as a whole is 100 x 35 square miles, is a tropical island with a variety of unimaginable places so get ready for adventure! USA citizens don't need passport, a valid real id is all you need! What are you waiting for?

Not just a Campsite but & mini-fortress of isolation & tranquility. Perfectly flat/grass/soft spot for tents & a complete(power/hot shower/regular bathroom/kitchen/fridge- Casita str8 outta a Bad Bunny video. A Perfect pool to soak in while viewing the ocean or watch the daily rainshower bless you rolling off the Mighty El Yunque. As mentioned in a previous review about the drive into this location; as with ANY place in the mountains of PR- it's an INSANE drive whipping through steep inclines and blind curves & narrow roads to get here- there are 2!! Critical turns you must make- one to get into the Tomas Berrios Barrio that this huge property is heritage-bound too(neighbors are all relatives/land owners) & the tight turn into the Jubilee itself. Once you're in here you will encounter one of the steepest paved driveways I've seen on the island. It's a very short hump and completely paved until the area actually going to your campsite or casita. Keep that thing in 1st gear n keep the rpms at 1-2k- you will be absolutely fine. A 2wd can easily!- (it's actually fun once you know what to expect)make it but if you're actually camping & driving all over the island- the only option is a awd/4x4 vehicle anyways.. there will be another 2 homes within the property- trust the Googlemaps- it will get u exactly to the rear of the mainhouse - there are signs also. litteral mountains n areas completely private at your disposal- Tomas(owner) is amazing! Don't miss out!

I absolutely loved my stay at Barefoot Travelers. Keishya was so thoughtful having breakfast staples in the fridge, towels ready by the pool, clear instructions everywhere. The guesthouse is very comfortable and we opted for the private bathroom although we had the house to ourselves. My daughter spent hours and hours in the pool, we had the beach to ourselves at night. There are great local restaurants walkable. The nature preserve is at the edge of the neighborhood. Kaia(sp?) the dog was hard to leave. It was so fun and sweet to be greeted by him at the pool and in the mornings.

THIS PLACE WAS ABSOLUTELY STUNNING!! Everything about our stay was perfect. The facilities are so well kept and they have so much to offer. We cooked using the grill and ate the fresh fruit we picked. The views of this place are breathtaking. Our host was also so incredibly kind and he gave us great recommendations in the area. Could not have asked for better. Wish we got to stay longer and hope to return one day.

This place was absolutely gorgeous! The views were spectacular, and all the lights and seating were great for relaxing outside after a long day.
The bathroom/shower was well spacious and well lit; good hot water and pressure.
We were lucky enough to have the place to ourselves, but I would have loved to check it out during a show since they have a big stage and kitchen.

Loved camping at Finca Sajorí, we went during the week, so we had the campsite to ourselves. we brought both of our older pets to rest and ground in nature. the view was magical, looking for campfire wood was accessible as we are surrounded by trees. i recommend bringing a saw to cut some long wood. there were oranges and pineapples growing everywhere, we felt safe and the stars and constellations at night were dreamy. We got all seasons in one day, heat, mist, rain, and cool at night. There was access to water, showers, toilet, and grills. Luis and his wife greeted us kindly. we attempted to walk to the river but one of old pups could not make the hike as her legs were weak, so we took our 4x4 down to the river as Luis recommended and that was a fun journey down and up the mountain - only 4x4 please. We will definitely return to this hidden beautiful campground.

I really enjoyed camping here. There is plenty of space to put the tents on. There is one toilet ( non flushing-compost), and 3 showers with WARM water, which include soap and shampoo and conditioner!, there is a hand washing station as well. there is also a gas grill, several areas for sitting and eating with grills, and a kitchen area with washing station as well. you can have as modern or rugged experience as you like, there is also an rv and also an airbnb and hostel like building. he teaches courses ( farm - related) and also gives a tour of the farm. the owner is very amiable and ensures as possible that everything is safe. of course, the view is spectacular. and there is a river walking distance. you can visit this place with a romantic partner, friends, family or even alone!
