We will be decorated for Halloween. We are currently working a scary trail.
Pitch your tent along Irish Creek under a canopy of Maples at Mystic Hollow. Irish Creek stream is a tributary to the Schuylkill River. The land is mostly flat for walking to camping area. There is also a small bridge that goes over a small strip of wetlands. Fire rings are included. I can haul your gear to your spot with tractor and wagon if needed. There is a port-a-potty close by. If you have your own portapotty, you must take the waste with you. We have no way to dispose of human waste. Absolutely no disposing of human waste on the property or in the trash. There will be a fine.
We are flexible with check-in and check-out times if we are not at full capacity. Just let us know ahead of time. We allow dogs. They must be on leashes unless they are friendly and play well with others. You must clean up your dog's poop! No exceptions! We are 5 minutes from the Schuylkill River. 10 minutes from Ontelaunee Lake. 15 minutes from Blue Marsh. 15 minutes from the Appalacian Trail. Trail heads nearby Port Clinton, Hamburg, Bernville, Bethel, Blue Rocks, Kempton... 20 minutes from Hawk Mountain. We are an hour from Jim Thorpe. There are several wineries in the area including Long Trout Winery where wine is cool and hippy chicks rule! My favorite! Lots of wildlife. Expect to hear owls, blue heron, cows, goats, chickens, hawks, eagles, dogs, racoons and coyotes. Racoons will steal food that is not put away or in coolers. Deer may walk past in the middle of the night. Hiking, kayaking, tubing, fishing, mountain biking, bike trails, etc... all nearby. Sadly there are no fish in Irish Creek worth catching. The Crayfish are!
As with any land situated along a water source, there is always a possibility of flooding. We flood maybe once a year, once every other year. If that should happen, we will assist in hauling gear. There is higher ground for tents to be set up if need be. There will also be rooms available to rent in the near future.

We are an active dairy farm in the rolling hills of Berks County, Pennsylvania. We take awesome sunrises and great star gazing for granted around here! Campsites are a 10-minute walk from the farm where all are welcome to interact with the animals or take a try at milking a cow. After all, you need milk and cream for breakfast!Its a ten minute drive to Blue Marsh Lake for Fishing, Biking, Hiking and Swimming. Its a 5 minute walk up to our Dairy Farm where you can visit with the cows and baby calves. There is a very nice view of Weiser's mountain. This site doesn't have any extra shelter and is only for tent camping. There is a total of 4 listings in the one acre courtyard. The water source is shared by other people and also the port potty is shared with courtyard #3.

We were not able to complete the trip due to RV troubles. A full refund has been issued even though the ability to cancel or modify was closed on the day of visit. My son was very sad, so can't wait for Spring for a better opportunity. Thank you, Faith!

The camp site was perfect!! The distance from the car to the site was nice so moving the camping equipment was a breeze. Mel was an awesome host!! She was accommodating and very welcoming!! She made sure my friends and I had everything we need to make our camping experience pleasant. The environment was quiet and scenery. Her pets( a dog and alot of cats)were friendly and wanted lots of attention. She is in the process of building and remodeling. I can't wait to come back when she has everything settle!!!

I had a great night camping at Mel's! She was so thoughtful and nice to talk to, helped me get set up for the night, and showed me around the property so I felt very safe and had a relaxing evening and night. It was lovely meeting Bear the dog and the cats on the property as well, such sweethearts. The campsite was a good size, was decorated for the upcoming holiday, and had plenty of privacy from the road. Beautiful clear starry skies. I'm glad I stayed at Mel's along my trip!

My mom and I had a blast with our rustic weekend camping trip at the end of October, one last weekend before it got too cold! This is classic rustic camping, less amenities = beautiful nature , in a beautiful meadow with a stream going around it! Mel, the hostess got us plenty of wood when we asked and checked in with us each night! She helped haul all our stuff to our site, so that part wasnt to bad. Just what I needed peace and quiet in nature! Thanks Mel!

Great set up by the creek, goats were a nice touch. There’s a farm across the creek and we were constantly being bombarder by the smell of what I’m assuming was cow manure, but other than that lovely hosts, lovely plot of land , watch out for ticks and enjoy the night !

We had such a great time here! There was 7 adults, 1 baby, and 4 dogs and we had plenty of space!! Gorgeous in the fall, and they had plenty of firewood for us to use. I recommend this place and we hope to come back! You do hear the raceway noise but it’s not a big deal and it’s nice and quiet overnight!

Fantastic stay! This was a first-time camp for my 7 and 4 year old (total city kids), as well as my anxiety-ridden pup. So, my wife and I had some reason to be anxious about the trip. The campsite exceeded expectations, and Mel was super accommodating. Catching crawfish in the stream was a big hit for the kiddos. There was a large field adjacent to the site where our kids could run around, but enough tree cover at the site to get out of the sun as needed. Would stay again!

We loved staying at Mel’s land -- our experience exceeded expectations! Mel was attentive, quick to offer help, and a pleasure to chat with beyond just campsite details. We brought our dogs, and they were happiest playing near the stream. The campsite was spotless, with well-kept grass and a beautiful, polished feel. We definitely plan to come back, hopefully for a longer stay next time.

This place is absolutely excellent, but what truly makes it special is the warm and thoughtful reception. A huge thank you to Mel, an incredible host who was always so caring and attentive with us. She even went out of her way to help with our dog when he hurt his leg — her kindness meant the world to us. Mel and her sweet dog Bear are both absolute treasures. We couldn’t be more grateful for the experience, and we’ll definitely be coming back countless times to camp here again!

Perfect getaway for family with young kids. Level mulched areas for tents, portopotty on site, large chunks of fire wood provided, and trashcan. Pond was fun to fish in. Cows were fun to see right next to camp.
