 You are just minutes away (whether you are Hiking, Biking, Walking or riding your Horses to our quaint and lovely little village of Tumalo for outdoor music, food trucks, fire pits and country store.

Perfect space for artist/writers retreat!

We are a 12  min drive to downtown. And are centrally located to all in the surrounding area. You can float the river,  launching in Tumalo or the  Old Mill for river floating, walking and hiking. Trails are in the surrounding area.

Perfectly situated in the "Golden Triangle" of Bend, Redmond and Sisters.

The 11 acre Ranch is also surrounded by hundreds of acres of Wooded and Open-Range Fields, for which you’ll have access to most of the property to hike, bike, walk or Horse-Back (Horses not provided).... in addition to the beautiful fields just outside the property line where you can walk the trails to downtown Tumalo!

You will see resident deer, owls, falcons and coyotes. 

Come unplug on your slice of "privacy".....and enjoy the view of Pilot Butte in the distance!

We will happily share the best places to float, horse-back riding, hikes, bike trails to relax. Need something additional or forgot it? (floats, bike, ice, coffee creamer, s'mores, etc...just ask us!)

Property condusive to snow shoeing and cross country skiing when snowy.

Due to COVID 19 stipulations please bring 

your sleeping bags and pillows! Sheets are provided but we ask you bring a good sleeping bag to ensure you’re warm.

Tom's Rest Canyon Retreat Center

TOM'S REST was created by Tom's wife Cheryl in an effort to carry out their plans to provide respite for those in need.  Tom Edwards worked tirelessly for years to clear this wild recreation space where he planned to live while helping others.  Tom suddenly and unexpectedly passed February 2, 2015 while in the process of making his move to Sisters with his High School sweetheart of 45 years.  Cheryl continued his passion and their dream to make this a place for those in need as a way to honor the most giving man she ever knew.   This process, while overwhelming, has brought some healing and it is our hope to continue that healing for others in need from life's many trials.  We continue to use our funds to promote healing in grief and other trials of life.

We would appreciate hearing from those that have anything to contribute in way of maintenance and housekeeping, services to provide those in need such as massage or counseling, or any other contributions you are led to give.  We are developing a list of volunteers to be called upon when someone in need is referred to us and will keep you informed as things develop.  

Anyone having a grief, widows/widowers, caregiver, cancer, hospice or other group that would like to have their group listed should message us as well.  These respite visits are short getaways to refuel and support individuals during tough times.  

Those that come to enjoy Tom's Rest will be ministering to those in need through your paid visits here and hopefully, gain some needed respite of your own.  We have taken every precaution for distancing and cleanliness with the ever changing Covid policies for your safety and concerns.   Most feel they are pretty much 'on their own' in this retreat area with the option for seclusion OR mingling if so desired.

My deepest thanks to all who have stood alongside through this journey and continue to do so.  May we collectively create TOM'S REST with Tom's intention and the passion he infused in us to carry it through to fulfillment.

Heart of Sisters

In the city limits of Sisters. Just a few block walk to parks and downtown Sisters where tourists get trapped. Good for getting close spots for events like Sisters Folk Festival. Couple blocks from the Buckrun Trail head and 15 min drive to Three Creeks Lake. Firepit, Bbq, and grills available for use and can work out deals with the host for prepared meals. I do social media videos on the food I make and if you own a small business and would like to talk about your business on my live streams or make some quick promo videos then that is something we can discuss. Table is shared between both camp sites. 

We got to meet the owner of the property and see his ponds he is growing plants and food in and see his cooking skills with the smoker. 

Sunset/Sunrise on Cricketwood Farm

Bend is listed as one of the best towns in the country by residents and visitors; "an outdoor enthusiasts dream with a bit of urban feel."

Float pristine rivers and lakes, rock climb or hike Smith Rock State Park or visit the High Desert Museum. Hipcamper's have easy access to mountain biking, rock climbing, hiking, horseback riding, rock hounding, paddling, cycling, golfing and dining.

We have 1 RV site with potable water, electricity and a picnic table. Pets are allowed.

Trinity Ranch "Farmping"

We are a farm to table family operated ranch.  Our goal is to provide all who come here a sense of joy and value. We accomplish this by providing excellent service, high quality food, and sharing our 34 acres of God's beautiful part of the world!  Centrally located between Bend, Sisters, Smith Rock, and all the mountain activities, it is a perfect spot for your stay-over.  We would be happy to provide you with recommendations of local food or activities if you're interested.  All of our RV sites are dry camping, but we do provide access to water and a dump station.  The 3 RV sites are relatively close together.  In particular sites 2 and 3 would be ideal for groups.  All the RV sites also have a dedicated tent area.  We try to come meet you during your stay here and we want you to feel like this is home away from home.  Situated between the 4 sites is a rustic, semi-private outdoor shower and a portapotty. Come see us!
