Welcome to our little slice of heaven, 30 acres of natural prairie nestled on the highest point in the county overlooking the surrounding Twin Mounds valley. Like most of us, we were in desperate need of a place to get away from the bustle of daily life, slow down, and decompress, and the land gave us just that! We are so excited to share this place with others who share our passion of the outdoors and feel that breath of the wild. Interestingly, each year we find out more about our home, from its Native American prehistory of being a ceremonial grounds, to its 19th century cival war conflict, and most recently, a lost article published in the 1940s in the local Oklahoman gazette that talks about burried treasure! Our sites offer lots of open space and are private and seculded from each other. We offer maintained camping sites which are closer to the main entrance and are easily accessible with standard vehicles as well as more our more natural habitat spots that are further into the back pasture. We have easy access to two main highways with the nearest Walmart 10 minutes away. Good cell phone coverage for all the main providers at most locations on the property. Learn more about this land: Come get away and enjoy 30 acres of space and solitude. We have beautiful views of the surrounding valley where our sites are secluded and private, it is the perfect place to break away from the daily grind. History surrounds you, located between the "Twin mounds " ( Battle of Round Mountain Nov. 19, 1861) our campsite is the highest elevation in Payne county. Most of the land is rolling natural prairie grasses and evergreen cedars. We are a great location if you enjoy hunkering down for the day or hiking around trails. Each individual site is unique and has plenty of character along with space to play, spread out, and relax. We welcome all pets! Large groups and family outings are also welcome. We are a 400 plus acre working family ranch raising Registered Texas Longhorns. We offer homegrown steaks and hamburger for purchase during your stay. In season we offer homegrown fresh vegetables you can purchase to go with your steaks- your welcome to even pick your own. If fresh vegetables are not in season we do have a selection of salsas, jellies, and pickles made on the ranch. There are three ponds for fishing, lots of wildlife including nesting baldeagles. This has to be the best place to camp in Oklahoma. Longhorns roaming around, getting to tour with Casey (grandson) and the host, Glenda, was awesome. Such a great family and time on this property. I was there 6 nights, 4 at a camp where I truck camped, 2 at the tiny home. The tiny home was perfect when it got really cold and was able to have a good comfortable shelter. The campsite was great and remote but still able to have the longhorns roaming nearby. I would 100% recommend to anyone in this area and plan to stay next time I’m over that way.

We were unable to camp there due to storms so we ended up in a hotel. Glenda invited us out over to Ranch over The Weekend so we could spend some time with her on the ranch. We did go to the ranch and spent about 4 hours. We met her Longhorns, fed them and got to spend some time in the garden. Glenda is a fabulous hostess. We had a great time! She also gave us places we should visit. I’m definitely going back in the Spring!

This was such a special place, and we loved the wooded seclusion of site 5. The hammock was a treat for our daughters, and our dogs loved roaming around off leash. The trails and property are so well maintained, and the owners were incredibly hospitable. We'll definitely be back!

We had a great time at site 2. Easy access to the composting toilet (which is awesome!) for my toddlers and it was nice and open for them to run around. The picnic table, hammocks, and grate for cooking over the fire were awesome additions as well!! We will definitely be back, and are excited to try out the more primitive camping sites Ash has to offer!

Our second time staying with Glenda, and we had a fantastic time again! We went on a very nice long ranch tour seeing many corners of the property, and left with some delicious eggs and vegetables from the garden. We made some tomato sauce and still have loads of cherry tomatoes left over to eat. We stayed in the campsite off the road this time, as our car didn’t have enough clearance to make it through the cow pasture as we did last time. It was a really pleasant and beautiful place to camp, and we were still free to roam as we pleased around the property. Glenda is always the kindest host with so much knowledge of the area, and always available to help out campers. Will be coming back, of course.

This was the best camping trip ever!! 100 acres to yourself. Hundreds of longhorn cattle free roaming around your camp site. Casey and Glenda were amazing hosts. Taking us on a tour of the ranch, feed the longhorn cattle, went fishing in multiple ponds, learned to rope, and even test out a bucking bronco training rig. I would encourage anyone who goes to this ranch to purchase the longhorn steaks and farm fresh eggs while you are there. Delicious! Glenda and Casey were again the best hosts you could ever want. Treated us like family and accommodated us tremendously. Thanks Casey and Glenda for everything

We loved the entire time we had at the ranch. Glenda was so accommodating and kind despite us booking at the very last minute. She put us up in her tiny house for the night to save us from an awesome storm that passed over and probably would’ve soaked us through. Her grandson Casey showed us the longhorns and taught us many things about the ranch and the area. Really awesome dude, he took us fishing and taught me how to use a baitcaster and I showed him how to fly fish a little bit. No shortage of catching fish and time with super sweet dogs. Had no clue Oklahoma was such an amazing place, wish we could have stayed longer.

Well kept and maintained site. Site 2 was very open so my dog could run around. Nice firepit with cooking grate. It rained while I was here but it was grassy so wasn't muddy at all. Will definitely come back!
