Welcome to our little slice of heaven, 30 acres of natural prairie nestled on the highest point in the county overlooking the surrounding Twin Mounds valley. What started out as an amazing piece of land that my wife and I had huge dreams for is now becoming a reality. Like most of us, we were in desperate need of a place to get away from the bustle of daily life, slow down, and decompress. What we found has now become a home for us, our pups, and our recently born beautiful baby boy! We are so excited to share this place with others who share our passion of the outdoors and feel that breath of the wild. Interestingly, each year we find out more about our home, from its Native American prehistory of being a ceremonial grounds, to its 19th century cival war conflict, and most recently, a lost article published in the 1940s in the local Oklahoman gazette that talks about burried treasure! Our sites offer lots of open space and are private and seculded from each other. We offer maintained camping sites which are closer to the main entrance and are easily accessible with standard vehicles as well as more our more natural habitat spots that are further into the back pasture. We have easy access to two main highways with the nearest Walmart 10 minutes away. Good cell phone coverage for all the main providers at most locations on the property. Learn more about this land: Come get away and enjoy 30 acres of space and solitude. We have beautiful views of the surrounding valley where our sites are secluded and private, it is the perfect place to break away from the daily grind. History surrounds you, located between the "Twin mounds " ( Battle of Round Mountain Nov. 19, 1861) our campsite is the highest elevation in Payne county. Most of the land is rolling natural prairie grasses and evergreen cedars. We are a great location if you enjoy hunkering down for the day or hiking around trails. Each individual site is unique and has plenty of character along with space to play, spread out, and relax. We welcome all pets! Large groups and family outings are also welcome. Our campsite is open through out the year, same day bookings or extended stays-Whatever your schedule we would be happy to have you. See you soon in the great Outdoors! *******[Good cell phone coverage for all the main providers at most locations on the property. For roadtrippers passing through Oklahoma we offer easy access to main state highways and plenty of secure places to park and sleep for the night. Access to I -35 (30 mins), access to I-40 (60 mins). Fishing and Lakes near by. We are located between Tulsa and Stillwater on Highway 51]

I really enjoyed our stay on Ash's land. We stayed on site 5 and it was right next to their little canyon, it was beautiful. Our little dog had never been in the woods until now and she absolutely loved it! She loved following us around on their trails and exploring their creek. I would definitely recommend staying here, and I will be back!

This has been my favorite campsite I’ve found on a hipcamp. Plenty of privacy, lots of land to explore, and a fire ring and picnic table right on site,

Site 5 is beautiful!! There’s a open field right next to it where we laid down and looked at the stars and it was amazing💫 Our dog had so much fun exploring with us. The mini Grand Canyon was cool to! If anyone is wondering about cell service, my husband and I have Verizon and he has an iPhone 12 that worked, and I have an iPhone 11 that didn’t work. We think it had to do with him having a newer generation and better features. Thank you for letting us get to enjoy your land Ash!!😊

Very private camping. Very clear and helpful directions. Extremely accommodating and friendly. Campsite was well maintained but also has that backwoods feel. We brought our dogs and they loved it too. Great views of the night time sky! I have endless good things to say about this location. 10 out of 10. Can’t wait to go back :D

Enjoyed getting to camp at Ash's. We choose site #5 with tree coverage and the hammock. Lucked out with having the whole place to ourselves. It was private and peaceful. Didn't see any wildlife around but saw plenty of evidence. Could hear coyotes howls at night, loud enough to make the hairs on the back of your neck raise. It was exhilarating! Thank you Ash, we loved our stay!

A little slice of heaven
This is the second time we have spent time at Sky Valley Acres. We stayed at campsite #3 and we couldn’t be more impressed with this beautiful location. The open campsite was a perfect spot for star gazing and watching the full moon rise. Ash is a wonderful host, often checking in to see if you need anything. You honestly can’t go wrong staying at this little slice of heaven called Sky Valley Acres!!

Private primitive camping
Ash has done an amazing job with his land. I stayed at camp site 5. The Pine and Cypress trees were exactly what I wanted for a camp site. He's done an amazing job keeping his property feeling secluded and private as well as preserving all the little eco systems around the camp. A far change from staying at a state park where the "primative" camp sites are feet from each other. It was absolutely lovey and I will be coming back. Thanks Ash !

Great space! We bought the firewood but there was not much firewood provided so think about bringing some of your own. Property is secluded and feels very private. The maps help make to check in process much easier.

Next time I will stay longer!
So much more satisfying than a typical campground, this was exactly what I had hoped for: quiet, away from maddening crowds, and abounding with Nature’s splendor. I especially recommend the primitive sites. Mine was huge, with a mowed grassy mini- meadow surrounded by fascinating central Oklahoma wilderness. Ash is a superb host. We are blessed by him sharing his homestead with those of us looking for this kind of experience.

Kids 1st camp/Nicest host/Adventure
Our experience was so wonderful at Sky Valley Acres! Ash is a wonderful human and host and words can’t express how kind and helpful he & his family are. It was our kids first camping trip and we loved the privacy is the campsite we were at (campsite 3). There is so much to explore here and we walked some trails and got to enjoy the land. The stars were amazing at night and even though it was a little windy the nights we chose to go, it was so peaceful having our own secluded space with the freedom to go explore the beautiful acreage around! We rented the bean bag toss game and Ash also blessed us with some other games as well. They were always there for us when we had questions & he provided us with ideas and detailed directions to find the mini canyon to check out and walking trails. For us, having such nice hosts was the icing on the cake. They let you do your own thing yet are always there to guide you incase you have questions. We can’t wait to go back and would love to bring some family along next time. I’m excited for Fall season already & to come back. Until we meet again, Thanks Ash!

Sky Valley Acres
Quiet and secluded
Beautiful piece of property with nice flat campsites, nice tables and firepits. Sites 2 and 3 are nice and secluded up on their own little hill tops. The host was very kind and accommodating. We boondocked in our 20' travel trailer which was a little tight pulling into site 3 due to wet ground conditions and tight turns, but I think up to a 24' camper is doable. Site 2 can easily accommodate a 24-26'er. There are some nice mowed paths on the property you can walk around and explore. But don't forget your bug spray! The ticks are thick this year. And this is Oklahoma, so it should be expected anyway! Will recommend to friends and family.

Ash was incredibly responsive and helpful with his texts. He sent GPS maps with markings on them to easily find the site. He even came down and helped me start my fire when I was not able to. The primitive sites are note and spacious. There is great tree cover and forest, as well as grassland he has cleared for sites. It is mostly serene, but you can hear any honking or excessively loud vehicles from the highway some distance away. Would definitely stay again.
