Welcome to Sky Valley Acres, where history meets the horizon. Come join us out in our little slice of country paradise, 30 acres of natural prairie and woodlands nestled on the highest peak in the county overlooking the historic Twin Mounds Valley. Not too far from home, but just far enough to feel like an adventure, we are conveniently located 20 minutes outside the quaint college town of Stillwater, Oklahoma. Our sites offer both large open areas for vehicles and activities paired with private wooded forest for tents and seclusion. Individual sites are many acres apart designed in such a way that every experience is peaceful and private. We offer maintained camping sites which are easily accessible that come with amenities, in addition to our alternative primitive camping experience for the pros further in the Backwoods. What ever your needs or preference we have a spot for you! We have easy access to two main highways with the nearest Walmart 10 minutes away, not to mention great cell phone coverage for all the main providers at most locations on the property.
A little bit about how we started. Like most of us, we were in desperate need of a place to get away from the bustle and grind of daily life, to slow down, decompress, and destress. This land the universe had waiting for us, gave us just that! It changed our lives and now we are excited to open up this sanctuary to others who share our passion for the great outdoors! Interestingly, each year we find out more about our home, from its Native American prehistory, to its 19th century Civil War conflict, and most recently, a lost article published in the 1940s in the local Oklahoman gazette that enticingly gossips about long lost Buried Treasure!

1889 LandRun Legacy new venture in development. Lovely trails through wooded forests with dry creeks, gullies, and intermittent creeks fed by 1500 acres starting south about 2 miles. Tall red dirt walls along ravines that wind dramatically in southern portion of property.
Creeks have water and fish, yet small perch with slow cascading waterfalls when rains have come. Areas to camp near creek. Big 10 acres field good for flying kites. Eastern Redcedar groves untouched for ages. Lots of no impact camping spots.
Our Farm is in it’s start up year and we have and work hard. Some find it fun to watch and learn about sustainable growing.
This will be developed further into glamping destination with disc golf course starting in a couple of years.

When my husband brought me here for the first time, I started to notice all of the natural tree circles in the woods. I knew this place was magical and indeed has been. Please come and experience the energy of our forest. Our favorites include owls, deer, eagles ... to name
just a few. Come to meditate, to reconnect, relax and be STILL.

Pitch a tent in the lovely Pottawatomie County in Oklahoma. We have created a wonderful site in the middle of the forest for you! Lovely oak trees as far as the eye can see, barred owls, deer, hundreds of species of birds. Feel free to explore in designated areas (ask me about other areas outside your campsite), feel nature's rejuvenating energy and be in our sacred space. The site is walk in only, about 100 yards, so bring your wheel barrow or cart, although the property is 15 acres in its entirety, the campsite is on about a quarter acre with one large central site and a few alcove sites. We do have neighbors up the hill, but there is NO Visual of these houses. Sometimes neighborhood kids ride their 4 wheelers down our road and use our cul-de-sac to turn around, and you might occasionally hear them, but you can't see them and they can't see you, but most of the time it's very quiet.

Now that I have, I have a better sense of how to get around the neighborhood. So don’t let previous reviews scare you. This is some beautiful property surronded by the Ozark National Forrest. This was such a special place, and we loved the wooded seclusion of site 5. The hammock was a treat for our daughters, and our dogs loved roaming around off leash. The trails and property are so well maintained, and the owners were incredibly hospitable. We'll definitely be back!

We had a great time at site 2. Easy access to the composting toilet (which is awesome!) for my toddlers and it was nice and open for them to run around. The picnic table, hammocks, and grate for cooking over the fire were awesome additions as well!! We will definitely be back, and are excited to try out the more primitive camping sites Ash has to offer!

Beautiful space! Campsite was very well maintained and tucked away. Directions were easy and the map they included helped a lot. I usually camp alone and I felt very safe here. Will definitely be booking again for the fall & winter!

It was a big, spacious campsite with lots of seclusion, it really felt like we were camping out in the forest! The property was very well maintained. Me and my family had an amazing time and will DEFINITELY be back! Our new favorite spot for sure!

We loved camping on Ash’s land. The site was easy to get to and set up perfectly. The fire pit had an iron grate you could lay across it making it easy to cook over the open fire. We will definitely be back!

Great off-grid spot for some real primitive camping. It's right where the creek and river meet. Took my son for his first camping trip there for father's day weekend. The owner is really nice. When we arrived to the property, we were confused where to go, and we called him for directions. He stayed on the phone with us the entire time until we found our camping site. Plenty of wood and fish out there. Also deer, rabbits, etc. Also several acres to explore. Highly recommend.

Camping here was a great experience! The trail to the campsite was well maintained and everything was so scenic. It was very refreshing and we were able to see so many birds as well. Our toddlers had a blast and Monica was very helpful and kind!

Well kept and maintained site. Site 2 was very open so my dog could run around. Nice firepit with cooking grate. It rained while I was here but it was grassy so wasn't muddy at all. Will definitely come back!

Beautiful location and wonderful hosts. Cows behind you, birds all around you singing happily and listening to the coyotes talking at night was amazing. They have the most adorable outhouse! 5 stars all day. They are very active on the app so if you have any questions I'm sure they'll be quick to reply. Highly recommend if you're passing through.

Sky Valley Acres is beautiful! Ash & Michelle are excellent hosts. There are several nice, private camping spots and there is a two-private-stall compost outhouse on the property close and convenient. You wouldn't normally think something like an outhouse would be cute but they put effort into making it nice.
Very responsive hosts. Nice land. Convenient outhouse. I look forward to camping at Sky Valley Acres in the near future. Cheers!
