We have 161.64 acres which has 4 gravel access points at different parts of the property. The property has several oil sites and it does have cattle, however, it has largely been untouched since the 1970s, meaning we have old growth and new growth for trees and natural habitat for wildlife. This property has been in the family for almost 5 generations and we are working to rebuild after nearly 50 years of no activity.
From my covered front porch I can hear owls, coyotes, hawks and other birds while watching deer munching in the open meadow.
The property has three low water level ponds, meaning no fish - but the opportunity to hike, bike, horseback ride or UTV into and out of the creek(s). Up and down rolling hills. Watch a thunderstorm roll over the horizon while watching lightning from miles away. Enjoy stargazing and naming that constellation.
The ponds do not have fish, but we are going to be stocking them within the next year.
There are plenty of open spaces or covered (by trees) spaces to camp.
We are working to restore the property including rebuilding several structures that were destroyed in the May 3rd, 1999 tornado. So, there is always a project or two in progress around the early 1900s homestead.
We do not have any prepared sites so, you can set up camp near the house for easy access to potable water or out in the pasture. The choice is yours! Once you arrive we will work with you to help you decide.

Farm-style camping one block from downtown Medicine Park. Plenty of room to spread out at this great location a short walk into town (we were there during a music festival, so it was nice not to be right in town). Colleen is a very accommodating and responsive host and will treat you to breakfast of her own farm raised eggs and jams and homemade biscuits and gravy on her veranda!

Great off-grid spot for some real primitive camping. It's right where the creek and river meet. Took my son for his first camping trip there for father's day weekend. The owner is really nice. When we arrived to the property, we were confused where to go, and we called him for directions. He stayed on the phone with us the entire time until we found our camping site. Plenty of wood and fish out there. Also deer, rabbits, etc. Also several acres to explore. Highly recommend.

The host was very helpful and gave me some lighter fluid when I was having trouble starting my fire. The animals were very friendly and would slowly approach or keep their distance. My only complaint is that they have 3 dogs who were a little too friendly, it was hard to get any done with 3 fluffy dogs constantly wanting to be pet. Still 5 stars

Wonderful experience! We are pretty amateur campers, but we had a great time. We enjoyed a beautiful sunset and had a great time meeting some of the animals on the farm. Kathy and Steve are so kind!
