Sunset Mountain is an exclusive reservation only 18+ clothing optional/nudist campground located on my working cattle farm. (Please do not drive up to our gate and try to get in. Please make a reservation in advance.) Although we cater to adults only we follow TNSF and AANR guidelines for social nude recreation. If you are not familiar with TNSF or AANR you can do a quick internet search and see some basic guidelines for social nude recreation. Sunset Mountain does typically operate as a blind service venue meaning we do business online and we and or our maintenance team may not be seen during your stay. We have a good team in place to help your stay be enjoyable please just understand we don’t operate like some of the clubs you may be used to. Sunset Mountain is a nice quiet place to relax and work on your tan. We have RV sites, tent camping areas a bus, container and camper available as lodging options. Booked this about a month out for my trip thru Texas. The RV park is pretty new according to Anthony the owner who greeted me after my arrival. It's very well laid out with 10 newly built tiny homes and many pull thru fully equipped RV spaces. The park also contains full bathrooms, laundry facilities, dog park, pickle ball court, code enabled entry gate and a disc golf course. Would highly recommend this as a place to stay especially if you like full rv hookups resort like atmosphere spotless clean amenities. The price to stay was a bargain considering all the amenities provided.

Weekend Trip to Bigfoot County Campgrounds

Found some trees perfect for a hammock, hiked down the rock trail, made a campfire cake, had camp coffee and enjoyed the scenery. It was my kind of party. Camper was in good shape, smelled and looked clean. Having a flushable toilet, a queen size bed to sleep in, and the option to use the stove were all very convenient (especially with a 4 year old). Great place for the price, I enjoyed the atmosphere and it was peaceful and fun. Host was responsive.

We had a great time here. Beautiful land and cozy cabin. Very comfortable and great kitchen set up with induction stove and convection countertop oven. Everything was very clean and well stocked with everything from board games to laundry soap. The hosts John and Ginny are nice and welcoming. We will definitely come back when we can stay longer.

This is my third time camping here as a stopover on a roadtrip and I have enjoyed every stay. It is close enough to the highway to be easy to get to and off the beaten path enough to be a quiet place where you can encounter wildlife. Kelda is welcoming and a good communicator. I also appreciate the access to drinking water and a bathroom. I would definitely recommend Stardust.

I love car camping in the the overland area at James place. It was far enough from the main part of the campground that I felt like I had privacy when I wanted it and close enough to hike in to hang out and join some of the other guests that were there for the weekend. The sun deck was great for catching some sunshine, the main firepit was awesome for gathering around with new friends and the hot tub was perfect place to relax before hiking out to my site for the bed. I am already trying to figure out a time to get back back out there. I cannot wait to visit Sunset Mountain again.

Weekend Trip to Sunset Mountain

We were able to roll up just a bit before sunset and it was perfect! This was our first clothing optional Hipcamp and talk about freeing! Not only was that a fun discovery, the property was outstanding. Clean and nice touches everywhere from A-frame wash/shower room, the hot tub, pool, fire pit, BBQ, wash tub for dishes, etc. James and Amy greeted us to make sure we had everything we needed. The pool was made ready for us the next morning for the tiny window of sun we got (thanks James!) you can really see the pride and care for the land and the experience they provide to campers. We didn’t get to meet any other campers this time however this stop will remain at or near the top of our camping experience list for quite some time - highly recommend. We will be back!

We reserved 2 nights in the Jesus Bus and absolutely LOVED our stay! Right when we pulled up, the friendly camp hosts greeted us to make sure we knew what we needed to have a great time. The sunset views over the mountain was gorgeous, and the other folks on the campground were an absolute delight. I especially loved the amenities like power and water inside the bus, and a nice clean flush toilet and shower just outside. The pool was still open and was very refreshing! I can't recommend this place enough. It's soothed my soul and got me ready for another week of work. Check them out! You won't regret it.

My boyfriend and I stumbled across Sunset Mountain and, while we have never even considered a nudist lifestyle, we figured so many positive reviews couldn’t be wrong. We are so glad we gave it a shot! Whether or not you practice a nudist lifestyle yourself (as long as you are open to others around you being in the buff!), you should certainly give this a try! James maintains his property so well and you can tell he loves the land. The facilities were immaculate! From the bathroom and outdoor showers to the pool and hot tub, we were incredibly impressed at how clean everything was. We went into the weekend figuring it would be something fun to say we did once, but by the end of the weekend, agreed we will definitely return! Sunset views were amazing and we took the opportunity to snap some fun pics too 😆 Thanks James for sharing your beautiful property with us!
