Pack your essentials and escape to the Little Miami River Valley's best kept secret. Our off-grid cabin and tent campsite is situated on 14 acres along the National and Scenic Little Miami River. The cabin is included in the site rental, offering the flexibility to bring your own mattress/bedding or have it provided as an add-on.
Once here, you'll park near the farmhouse and take a 4 minute hike over the creek, through the meadow, and into the woods. *Driving to the site is an option if you have 4WD and the ground is not too wet. Exceptions for 2WD can be made if the weather forecast and ground conditions permit.
As you approach the cabin and campsite, the trail opens up to an acre of green space shaded by large Sycamore, Walnut, and other native trees. Take a dip in the river, enjoy people watching as canoeist pass, or take part with a canoe or kayak rental from a nearby business (within 3 miles). The Little Miami Trail is also less than a mile down the road so bring your bike! The composting outhouse is serviced between each stay, meaning it's emptied, sanitized, and like new for each new guest. *Depending on your group size, the host may need to service/empty the outhouse once daily. There are two established campfire locations and a picnic table is provided.
*This is a family residence. The hosts live onsite and although you will not see them from your site, you will likely hear kids/adults playing outside and possibly weekend tasks such as mowing/weed eating/etc. Other "noise pollution" may come from canoeists passing by or the gun/ATV riding club which is a 1/4 mile down the river. That said, overall it remains rather quiet and you should find your stay peaceful : )

Lots of big catfish, bass & bluegill - see our F B page for videos of the fish being fed! If you're done fishing for the night or don't fish, bags of fish food are available for $1! It's fun to watch them! All food is stored in containers in shack. They like to eat in the morning or early evening. Also like hot dogs.

We are a livestock animal rescue and fiber farm! We have over 100 animals on property including alpaca, sheep, pigs, goats, a mini horse, chickens, turkeys, cats, dogs, tortoises, hedgehogs, and a bunny. If you want, you can get a farm tour to meet the animals! Your camping options include under a large maple tree (grassy) where electric can be provided, in our young orchard that is primitive or possibly in the pasture. Hunter's property is fantastic. It's private, it's along the Little Miami River, and it has tree coverage if camping during the summer. Hunter also took great care of us while we were staying for an extended weekend. 5 stars from our entire group. We will be back!

Fantastic location right on the river. Lots of privacy with no contact with others besides the host. The property is wooded with a hill behind you, and heavy forest left and right. The little Miami river is the other border. Plenty of space to park a couple vehicles, although you will want some room to turn around to get out.
We setup a large 6-person tent near the river's edge. Two picnic tables are setup nearby, with a metal fire pit. The host has a huge pile of chopped wood for sale if you need more on demand. There is a very basic cabin also in the camping area that gives a bit of shelter if you want to camp but also have a normal bed, or camp with a backup plan if it starts raining.
The outhouse was a really nice touch. Many camping locations needing a #2 option can get tricky, this handles all the stuff right there. Overall really happy how it all turned out. Fantastic spot that we will return to again.

Absolutely what we were looking for. Beautiful property, sandwiched between a river and a stocked pond. Fairly quiet, very peaceful. Cindy is an amazing hostess. Super sweet and friendly. Lots of wildlife around. Everything from turkeys and hawks, to deer and coyotes. Definitely a great place to drop a tent, hang a hammock and relax. Thank you so much Cindy, we appreciate you!

The owner gave us very specific instructions to get to the site and even called to make sure I found it okay! The site was great for families with lots to explore! Cindy was a gracious host. She actually walked me around the property to assist me in choosing a spot. She also provided a wagon to help haul my gear. Being able to walk up to the lake from my tent to fish was extremely convenient. I caught a few pan fish on some bee moths. Apparently there's some big cats in the lake. My goal was to relax and unplug and this property allowed me to do just that.

My fiancé and I wanted to get out of the city for a relaxing camping trip, and this spot was perfect. This was my second visit, and once again, it didn’t disappoint. The site is nicely secluded — we had plenty of space and privacy, well away from the owner’s area — and it’s spacious enough to host a group. It’s also pet-friendly, which was great for our puppy.
The outhouse and cabin are exceptionally clean and well-maintained, which really adds to the experience. There’s convenient water access throughout the site, several fire pits, and multiple picnic tables. Firewood was available on a burn-as-you-buy basis, easily payable through Venmo, which was super convenient.
The host was quick to respond when a kitten wandered into our campsite late at night — turns out it was their new camp cat! During the night, we could hear what sounded like coyotes or farm dogs across the water, but we still felt completely safe.
Because of the great water access, some areas can get a bit muddy, but that’s to be expected with such a natural setting. Overall, we loved our stay and plan to return many more times.

We have been going on an annual friends camp trip for the past 5 years, and every year pick a new site. This has been the best one yet! It has everything you need! Water, TONS of camp space, cabin and excellent hosts! Hunter went above and beyond & we almost felt like we were glamping ;) The outhouse is nicer than many of the public restrooms I've used!

Awesome site to camp and enjoy the river. The host went above and beyond by including extra supplies including a powerbank, fan, and board games. The cabin and outhouse were very clean and comfortable. The shade in the area helped keep it comfortable in the hot temps and kept the cabin cool for sleeping. I definitely recommend staying here

I’m hesitant to give a raving review only because I’d love to keep this gem a secret. But it is perfect! Our 4 kids (ages 5-13) had a blast tubing through the small rapids a little down river from our spot. The campsite, outhouse and cabin were clean and lacked nothing we needed. We loved the shade and the view of the river. Will be back! And with friends!

This was our first time using Hipcamp and we feel so lucky to find Hunter’s campsite/cabin. Hunter was very helpful, welcoming and hospitable. The property is a dream right on the river, very private and secluded. Our dogs had the best weekend of their lives, the river was swimable and great to cool off in, everything was extremely clean and just as described on the Hipcamp listing. There were butterflies all over - we saw deer and a snake, it was very natural and a true escape from regular life. We will absolutely be back! Thank you Hunter!!

5 Stars – A Dream Camp Spot!
This is hands down the best camping location I’ve ever experienced. The site is perfectly situated right on the Little Miami River, offering easy water access and a peaceful, secluded setting that truly feels like an escape from it all.
The little cabin was spacious, clean, and incredibly accommodating—far exceeded my expectations for comfort in a rustic setting. One of the biggest surprises was the outhouse, which was a huge positive—well-maintained and thoughtfully set up.
It’s quiet, serene, and everything you could want in a riverside camping getaway. Hunter, the host, was exceptional—kind, helpful, and communicated thoroughly every step of the way. His hospitality made the experience even better.
I highly recommend this hidden gem and will definitely be coming back for more vacation getaways. It’s the kind of place you want to keep secret—but also can’t stop raving about!
