The 240 acre farm boasts a hidden cave, wide open fields, breathtaking forest land, and historic and rustic barns. My kids and I had an absolute blast camping at Tullihas in the Trees! It's just as amazing as it looks in the pictures and so much more! The beds were unquestionably comfy, the cabin very well appointed, and despite the freezing night temperatures, the little heater in the corner kept us toasty warm without a struggle. My kidds loved the swings, I enjoyed the hammock quite a bit, and that was easily the nicest latrine I've seen in my 30+ years of camping. A perfectly sized cabin for a family of three!

The Oxley site is a really nice site to camp at. I know it's only a primitive cabin, but only just barely. It has so many comforts that I wasn't expecting, it felt pretty luxurious compared to what I thought it might be. No water, no electric. No problem. Honestly, you hardly notice that while you're there. So many little but smart decision to implement something like reflective tape and solar lights on the stairs. Or, backup cookware and plateware in case you forgot yours. The camplights in the cabin and in the outhouse to use when needed. Even a little stove. So many little things that just add up to make the stay as nice as possible. Beyond that, being back away from the road was nice. You don't feel secluded, but it certainly feels private. Being half way up a large hill, you'll want AWD or 4x4 to get up it, but it's location is nice because going further up the hill on foot gets you to a flat landing that we liked to sit at and watch the sunrise hit the hills around us. It's a great place for a couple, small family, or a small group of people. Would definitely come here again.

We loved staying in the cabin. The land is beautiful. Despite being fall, it was warm, and the compost bathrooms were clean. They also provided us wood and some lanterns! The one recommendation is getting there while it’s still bright out because it can be a bit hard to navigate to the cabins. Overall it was a great trip!

The treehouse was fantastic and a fun place to stay. The hosts have thought of the details, such as stove, coffee maker (even some ground coffee), lights, chairs and hammocks, to name a few. Some challenges we had, but may not be an issue for others. The treehouse is steps from a road that gets some traffic, not too bad except for really loud side x sides. There was a nearby event so side x side traffic was extra. Also it’s wasps season (late summer )and they like the house. Hosts spray but there’s only so much you can do. Even with the challenges we’d stay here again.

We had an incredible time! The perfect weekend or night getaway if you want to enjoy the sweet sounds of nature and beautiful views on this property. We also brought our dog and he was able to run all around freely unbothered. Being secluded in the A Frame was exactly what we were looking for and we will absolutely be coming back. The owners are so kind, provide you with the basics, and can even sell you some firewood. We will absolutely be coming back and hopefully to stay at other parts on the property. We cannot recommend this enough for friends and family.

Our time at Oxley was absolutely incredible. The area was clean, comfortable, and private—and even the mosquitoes were minimal. Thanks to the well-shaded location, the A-frame stayed pleasantly cool despite high temperatures. The outhouse was very clean, comfortable and well lit. Water was easy to access, and the firewood delivery was quick and convenient. Phone service was not available at the site, but was easily accessible with a short drive to the farm. We brought our two small-breed dogs and felt completely comfortable letting them roam off-leash. They had the time of their lives (and I’m still finding burrs in their fur!). Meeting the family was a true highlight. Von was so kind and eager to share the history of the farm. Carol’s warm, gentle nature was instantly welcoming, and Breanna’s dedication to her family and animals was inspiring. We even had the pleasure of meeting Grandma! The animals were one of my favorite parts. Penny, the sweetest horse I’ve ever met, ran across the pasture like an oversized puppy whenever treats were offered. The goats were just as friendly, and I even had the chance to hold ducks for the first time! Tips for future campers: -Bring something to cook with over the fire or a grill—cooking supplies are limited. -Consider bringing your own chairs. While some are provided, they’re older and a bit worn; something more comfortable would make your stay even better. Thank you for the wonderful time and the escape from reality!
