Chuck's cabin is awesome! It's rustic, cozy, and was made with love. Would 100% recommend.

The dogs and I had a very peaceful stay at Uncle Chuck's cabin! The highlights were the sunrises over the river, all the birds and birdcalls, the wood stove that kept the cabin very cozy at night and just all of the conveniences they provide! Anya gave me a mug before we drove down to the cabin that was such a nice gift. Chuck gave me instructions on how to use everything when I got there which was very much appreciated. Overall just a very peaceful stay with lots of beautiful scenery, wildlife and conveniences.

We just loved the cabin. It was very peaceful, and very nice! Uncle Chuck was a great host too. Showed us everything we needed to know, and was just an all around nice man. I would definitely recommend this place.

We needed a nice warm place to stay in late October & Chuck’s cabin was perfect!
Chuck met us on arrival & showed us around the site. There is a generator for electricity to the microwave. The cabin was right by the river. Beautiful view! The wood burning stove was nice & toasty & Chuck has a nice dry supply of firewood behind cabin.
The cabin is nicely decorated with fun fun & interesting signs.
We left our fridge charger there & Anya was so kind as to mail it back to us!
Highly recommend this place!!

What a wonderful place to get away. My wife and I needed ao badly time away from our demanding lufes. At Chucks llace we escaped to peace and quite with the most beautiful and romantic backdrop. What an amazing host that provides way above and beyond in cabin amenities. Such a lovely experience.

Uncle Chuck's is a secluded oasis. Their level of hospitality cannot be matched at a campsite. They have thought of everything. I can't wait to return!

Weekend Trip to Uncle Chuck's Cabin
We loved our stay at Uncle Chuck’s. The cabin had so many more amenities than expected, the bed was comfortable, and the property is beautiful. We caught lots of fish from the bank and enjoyed taking our kayaks out and building a fire. We went into the little town of Grand Rapids and found the cutest places! We are definitely going to share this property with our friends and can’t wait to make our way back!

Chuck has a great place to relax and enjoy nature. We used it as a quick getaway from the city with our dog. It doesn’t take a lot of planning of packing to have a comfortable experience, Chuck provides pretty much anything you could need at the cabin. He’s a very thoughtful host and we will be coming back!

One of the most relaxing vacations I've ever had. We went on labor day weekend and it was so secluded we barely seen anyone else the whole trip. So relaxing just to sit by the fire looking over the river while hearing nothing but nature. They provide you with just about everything you need including firewood and propane. Highly recommended!

We visited again. It's always relaxing and the hosts responds whenever you text or call them. Chuck and his wife are friendly and even brought us fresh peaches from their trees! Our dogs loved the scenery and the swimming. You must go here! Everything you need is stocked. All you really need to bring is food and clothes. Thanks Chuck!

Uncle Chuck's cabin before the journey to it was already going to get a good review, how could it not? A private cabin with some essential comfort items next to a beautiful scene with ample recreation opportunity. Then we arrived and met Chuck.
Chuck built an absolutely heavenly retreat. The craftsmanship of the cabin and outdoor utilities are beautiful and comfortable. We anticipated a traditional camping trip, except with a roof and four walls instead of a tent. We were wrong. The amenities provided on top of the comfortable setting really sealed the deal for what I'd interpret "glamping" to be. Ample firewood, charcoal, chairs, coffee, books, games, toiletries galore, and many more things I don't have enough characters to tell you about. The property offered splendid fishing opportunity, an excellent view, and perfect privacy. I could go on and on but let me tell you if youre considering a retreat to enjoy the Maumee River, look no further. A very kind, thoughtful, and skilled man will lead you to an awesome cabin for a trip you will surely enjoy.

Just outstanding! Chuck was a great host who meet us at his property, took us to the cabin, and showed us around. His place is perfect for those looking to enjoy the water weather fishing, kayaking, or enjoying the fire in the shore. The accommodations were also perfect with the little extras thrown in. My son and I stopped counting the catfish we caught after 20. Definitely recommend.

Very accommodating hosts. Everything provided. generator gas, firewood, kuerig pods, bug spray, grill, utensils, and lanterns. Even some board games and coloring for the kids! If coming in the warm months note that there is no AC but fans for cooling. Wear your old shoes because there is a heavy presence of goose droppings. The aluminum John boat is very roomy and they even gave us a late checkout so we didn’t rush pack up.
If you’re coming to fish, great spot for access!

This place is incredible! Beautiful views, relaxing and private environment. The only scary thing for me was the bedroom loft - no railing once the steps are down.
The hosts are friendly and put a lot of effort into making this a great place to stay. We're looking forward to future visits!
