My family and I hesitated about going on our trip after finding out it was likely going to rain the majority of our trip here. We decided to make the best of our trip and still went, and had the greatest time. A great experience all around from the beautiful scenery to the farm fresh sausage. We absolutely LOVED staying at the Mangalitsa River Ranch!! We could not have asked for a better weekend. The views were incredible and sleeping to the sound of the River was so calming. Catherine was an excellent, super responsive host. We stayed at "Site 1 Rocks" which provided a grill, fire pit, and table with chairs to eat on. This area is also a short distance from Maggie Valley, Downtown Waynesville, and Asheville that we had so much fun exploring during the day. I can't wait to come back :)

Great Place To Stay With a View! We Drive a Tesla and car camp so we where able to charge with the mobile connector and the Nema 14-50 outlet they also had a regular 110 outlet as well! We enjoyed the picnic table and got to meet the host! Super friendly and Woudl definitely stay again we hike Lemon gap to max patch and got to take a cool road through Pisgah national forest from this hip camp!

Such a lovely stay! The view is unbeatable, and the area is very nice and private. John and his wife gave great hiking recommendations, and overall were great hosts! Would recommend this spot to anyone wanting a nice relaxing spot to catch some mountain views while in the Smokies.

The views are stunning and the entire setting is relaxing and simply beautiful. We were amazed how well kept all was. Grass cut even on steeper slopes (we were here in May when grass grows at the speed of light). Paths were well kept with gravel. The knoll is the ultimate spot with immense real estate. Just wished that there was a bit more grass growing on the knoll. It got pretty muddy after we got rained out. Nice feature was that the fire pit was surrounded by small gravel keeping everything clean and neat. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back! It would be a nice feature if trash could be deposited here instead of taking it out though. Stetson came to visit twice and our 3 dogs could quite cope with it. But smart as he is, Stetson realized it was better to stop visiting.

My husband and I had a relaxing, private and peaceful time on this beautiful farm. If you love nature, beautiful views, and water this is the place for you! We can’t wait to return with the entire family and to top it off Catherine and Rick are amazing hosts. Highly recommend ordering fresh meat, or lard! It’s fresh beyond anything we’ve had.

We had such a wonderful time on our camping trip at the Mangalitsa River Ranch. Catherine and Rick are very warm and make you feel right at home. We really enjoyed the vibrant nature all around us. We stayed at site 3 (Rapids) and it was so peaceful to fall asleep by the river. It honestly felt like a dream because they upkeep their property so well. It really blew my husband and I away! If you have time-sign up for the tour. It was fun to get a closer look at the animals and find out more about the history of the place. 10/10. We want to come back.

Nice gravel, level, pull-thru site. Large enough for a big rig but once you get off of I-40 there are some narrow curvy roads to get here that are not so big rig friendly. The view was great, and very quiet.

It is a beautiful property all the way from the cabin that I saw at the top of the ridge down to the Pigeon river. The fishing suffered from Helene’s rampage but everything seemed to be well on its way to a beautiful recovery.

Beautiful land and lovely hosts! The site was perfect for our entire family. The kids loved roaming the land and seeing the animals (especially cows on the other side of the river who decided to take a swim!). There was a campsite within eyesight but the sound of the river made it feel like we were the only ones there. We couldn’t hear another soul, just nature! Beautiful spot. Would definitely recommend.

PLEASE NOTE, our rate is based on the number of vehicles in your group. The first vehicle is included in the nightly rate and admits 4 campers. WE CHARGE FOR ADDITIONAL CARS. The charge will be added to your booking once you select the number of vehicles at checkout. Please note that each additional car admits four campers. For EXAMPLE, 2 cars = 8 campers total. If you only have two cars but more than eight people, YOU MUST select the "Extra Person" Extra for each night they are camping. Please select these extras at checkout. Two porta-potties are on the farm and private porta-potties are available for rent. Groups of eight or more are required to rent a porta potty should you not bring your own toilet system with you. We do not allow the use of our small wooded areas as toilets. Please review the Extras options as we offer river lifts, firewood and dog stays; thank you! Quiet hours are from 10pm to 9am. Checking in before 5 pm is requested. Later times may be available with prior arrangements. Our farm is very dark and navigating at night is difficult. Contact Catherine directly so you can be checked in safely and accommodate your schedule. LIMITED CHECK-INS AFTER DARK. We are 1 mile off of I 40, 17 minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway, 15 min. to Maggie Valley, 10 min to the Elk at Cataloochee, 25 min to Cataloochee ski area, 10 min to Lake Junaluska and 15 min to downtown Waynesville. Asheville is 20 miles to our East.

Del rio also has a local small Mom and Pop store with adjoining restaurant which serves home style food and steaks as well as a pizzeria. The owner of the property have two large breed dogs in the far 2 acres of the property so all pets must be leashed and restrained at all times and will not be permitted in the cabin or in the property unattended or unleashed. You couldn’t ask for a prettier, more peaceful place to simply unwind and relax. The owner are conveniently located approximately 20 acres and completely out of view from the cabin and are more than willing to do anything they can to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable however, they chose to restrain from contacting guests past their initial check in as to allow the most uninterrupted and relaxing environment for their guests but they are only a phone call away and very accommodating should a need arise during your stay.
