Container Experience

I purchased a 1960's ranch home and 4 acres over 5 years ago.  I turned the home into The Fab 4 House, furnishing it with authentic Mid-century Modern furniture and naming each bedroom for 1 of the Beatles.  I rent it out and it is great for events.  However, I needed 1 bedroom accommodations so I purchased 3- 8'x40' shipping containers and turned them into tiny homes.  You can rent 1 or all 3.  The courtyard in the middle features a Tiki Bar, Beach Scene, Putting Green.  I want people to enjoy the in and outside together.

Brookhaven Mill Farm

Our farm is an agritourism/sheep farm that offers seasonal events, educational workshops, a petting zoo, B&B, farm store, snack bar and camping!  We are a working farm during the week so we only allow camping to occur on the farm during the week as well as weekends. The rest of the farm offerings are not available until the weekend. 

We don't have hookups, so bring a generator if you need it.  If you need to fill up your RV water tank, we charge $10. Each of the 3 sites has a fire ring and picnic table. 

A Grill Pavilion is available to rent for $20 extra. See photos. Propane, grill, table and party lights included.

We allow check-ins during the week after 12 noon,  perfect for folks passing through and just need a safe and quiet place to park for the night and not interested in visiting the farm store, the barnyard or the rest of the farm, which are closed during week. 

If you are looking for interaction with the animals, or shop our farm store, book on a weekends when we open the Farm 10am-4pm for the public to visit our petting zoo, Farm Store and Snack Shack. We even offer feed so you can feed our sheep, donkeys, chickens, ducks and geese!   

While we are dog-friendly, we do not allow dogs outside the camping area. Instead, we offer a 1.5 acre piece of property adjacent to the camping sites where you can allow your dogs off-leash. No extra charge. 

Our camping area is a large grassy field that will accommodate multiple tent campers, travel trailers,  and RVs under 30' with room to turn around, stake your area, and not feel crowded. 

 There is also 1 regularly maintained porta potty located in this area.

Shakori Hills Community Arts Center

Here at Shakori Hills, we support our local music and arts community through cultural events and outreach to our local schools, while teaching environmental awareness and sustainable living practices.

Shakori Hills Community Arts Center is a place where everyone can enjoy nature, take strolls on beautiful trails, have family afternoons in the sun and enjoy art, music, family, life and all it has to offer. By building on what we are blessed to have at our fingertips, our local  culture will continue to strengthen and prosper!

Benzai Bloomstead

8 minutes from the Saxapahaw General Store and the Haw River Ballroom, you'll find us tucked away off the road. 32 gorgeous acres with exciting topography including two creeks, vast healthy woods and several open pastures. During the day, the blue heron flies overhead. At night, a pack of coyotes sings a wild chorus.

The property has a home, a studio and a barn on it, so when you're near the parking area, you'll see those of us who live here. The campsites are private/secluded.

Please note that this camping spot does require walking from the parking area to the camping spot and crossing the creek.

Scenic and serene location within the city. 4 acres of land with a big pond in the backyard with woods on one side. It is a wildlife sanctuary; you can observe geese, turtles and fish in the pond; deers, herons, hawks, many other birds and other wildlife enjoying this little oasis at the end of a quiet block. You can step out of the house and onto a walking/biking trail that leads to a city park with tennis courts, baseball field, playground, and picnic shelters.
