Welcome to Grindstone Farm, a well-established organic farm in Upstate New York, near Lake Ontario and the famous Salmon River of Pulaski, NY. We specialize in premium organic produce, particularly our asparagus and blueberries. Our farm features a beautiful blueberry pond where we host campers, farm to table dinners, music festivals and events. Our current camping area is a private rustic space with water views around our blueberry pond, tucked away from the main roads. We can accommodate RVs and also offer rustic cabins, although they have not yet been opened for the season. Currently, we welcome all car and tent campers. If interested in rustic cabin inquire about availability. We will always take special request and needs under consideration, so always feel free to reach out. Amenities include flushing toilets, a covered pavilion with accessible grills, tenting sites, washing stations, a fire area, and during the summer months, kayaking and swimming. Local attractions and sites, if you choose to leave our little slice of heaven include.... Lake Ontario Beaches and kayaking waterways, Salmon River and Salmon River Fishing, and Salmon River Falls (beautiful 110 ft waterfall), with of course limitless day trips in every direction. Consider us for your intimate camping excursions, when you seek just peace and nature, but also for large groups and celebrations. Our property will someday be our forever home but in the meantime we have decided to share this beautiful place with others. We will be under construction for quite sometime but we feel this is still an amazing location to enjoy. We will offer two spots to rent . One is a camping spot where you will bring your own camping supplies . The other is a glamping site where we offer a cozy canvas tent with a woodstove available situated right on the water for a magical view.Learn more about this land:Stars and Sage is a one acre wooded area on a beautiful stream. The stream Sage creek runs right along the property. This property is also on the Oswego County Snowmobile trail. This offers a great place for snowmobiling guests to stay overnight if you are brave enough to camp in a NY winter. If you are staying during another season you can walk the snowmobile trail. We are also in a very popular area to the Amish. They are great neighbors and we are sure you will see them pass by regularly with their horse and buggy. The property is also next to a show horse farm that has two donkeys so be prepared to hear them also . Very entertaining. We are currently a new site and are doing construction on the land. Please be patient with us. We have one other listing on the land so there may be times you do see other guests. We have a home under construction on the property so we also may be there at times. This site gives you a quiet wooded area to camp for the night or two with a porta potty for luxury camping. This site allows you to have a quiet place to camp without a lot of people and kid free. Most campgrounds have children but Stars and Sage does not allow children. Please feel free to bring your own camping needs as we only provide a fire area. The site is approximately 19 feet by 39 feet in dimension. You will be close to Mexico village and about 20 minutes from the city of Oswego. Plenty of biking areas all around . Enjoy a hike in the trail or take a short trip to Mexico point to put your Canoe or kayaks in to enjoy Lake Ontario. Lake Ontario is well known for fishing. You may see deer, Fox, muskrat, etc. you may hear coyotes in the distance. A flash light and a hatchet and bug spray are definitely recommended to have on hand.

Located right off the ATV trails and just 15 minutes down back roads from the world-famous Salmon River and Salmon River Falls, our off-grid family camp is tucked away a quarter-mile down an old private dirt road in the woods. Now, we say "off-grid," but this camp gives you the choice to either rough it like they did in the old days or use our generator system to power lights, a TV, shower, microwave, and electrical outlets. This is a great place to stay after a long day of fishing, hiking, or ATV riding, or if you're simply looking for peace and quiet away from the crowds. The cabin features a bed in the loft, a pull-out sofa bed, and two additional beds in the side room. (These beds can remain in the side room or be moved into the main cabin if preferred.) The kitchen runs on propane, and we provide the propane. We also have a fire pit with water located nearby for safety. If you decide to run the generator and power up the camp, we provide two 5-gallon gas cans. (If the generator runs all night, it will use approximately 5 gallons of gas.) We enjoy coming out here so much and wish we could stay for weeks at a time, but sadly we can't. So, we're opening up our camp to others who enjoy the outdoors and can appreciate and respect a good old family camp. I can also provide recommendations on fishing spots and weekend adventures for fishing or ATV riding for guests who are new to the area. Just ask! Thanks for looking!

posts were extremely friendly and very welcoming. Great cabin and easily accessible. Have a great setup with a couple of chairs and a hammock next to a creek and also a fire pit. Pretty much all the amenities you need when you're camping and even a few that you didn't know you needed 😊.

Great experience!! Cottage nestled in the woods of Amish country nothing but peace and quiet. The beautiful bride stars at night. Will definitely be coming back!

The camp shower was a cool touch, I think it will be awesome in the warmer months!

Teail’s Stars and Sage is a wonder little piece of paradise. The rustic cabin is super charming and sitting by the creek in the shade is therapy for the mind and soul. Surrounded by lush green plants and a verity of homestead animals it was super peaceful.

This one room cabin is gorgeous! It has a composting toilet right inside. The best part is the swinging bed and large windows with a lot of natural light. We loved the seclusion of the firepit and walking past the chickens, goats and rabbits! Good luck with your new baby, Betty & Bob!

1 night at Stars and Sage

What a wonderful experience! The property is gorgeous. When you arrive, you are greeted by roaming chickens and a turkey. Wind your way down the trail and you see geese and beautiful landscapes. I was visited by a friendly cat that followed me back to camp from the nature trail. The tiny house is perfectly decorated for tranquility. The little touches are perfect. The little wood stove kept me nice and toasty on a 40 degree night. While sitting by the creek watching the end of the sunset, I heard distant chanting. Soon, I heard the horse and realized it was an Amish man singing and chanting as he drove his rig. It was hauntingly beautiful in the dying light. I spent the night alone, but next time I’ll bring my husband for a romantic getaway. This space works perfect for either ✌️

1 night at Stars and Sage

I had a perfect experience here. This surprising and beautiful little gem of a find was an absolute delight. I had my choice of a tiny house or yurt like tent by the water on a platform. I chose the tent but next time, and there will be a next time, I would like to also try the tiny house. Everything is charming and well appointed. And the couple could not be nicer. Teail worked with me when I had last minute car trouble and had to reschedule. Glad I did. I only wish they had not sold out of their homemade honey by the time I got there! You will love it. I did. This is a treasure. I’m so glad I found it. Best wishes, Teail! See you again!
