Great for families with children 8 years and above. Don’t forget to check out the Hague Brook waterfall a few minutes’ walk on route 8.*This camp site is only accessible on foot and is 190 ft hike from the parking spot. You must be able to use ropes to hike up a 50-60 degree incline. This is not appropriate for small children. You will want to get there during daylight hours so you can safely find the site.Fun Facts: * Benjamin Franklin camped in Hague twice during the American Revolution. *Sam Ackerman discovered natural graphite in the area in 1887 the basis for the Ticonderoga No. 2 pencil. Wakonda Family Campground: Site B15

Our property is located in Wakonda Family Campground. Our site is B15 and is located in a wooded area where you can have a tent or small trailer. The campsite has water and electric hook-up and fire wood with an outdoor fire pit. The campground has two private beaches for swimming. That same pond is open to fishing and paddle boating. There are bath houses throughout the campground and the closest one to the camp site is a 1 minute walk. The bath houses include 1 shower, two sinks, and 3 toilet stalls all are which are very clean and maintained very well by the campground. The campground also has a playground, basketball court, pickleball/tennis court, sand volleyball court, fenced-in dog park, and camp store with souvenirs. Nearby Activities include: - Town of Lake George (25 mins) - Paradox Brewery (30 mins) - Xtreme Adirondack Zip Lining (20 mins) - Town of Schroon Lake (15 mins) - Town of Lake Placid/Whiteface Mountain (1 hr.) with plenty of hiking trails - Plenty of outstanding nearby restaurants!

Enjoy a secluded lakeside campsite with two points of water access. There are no other sites on this 13 acre property, so it's very private. Complimentary canoe and stand up paddle boards for your use. New York State hiking trails just one mile down the road, plus lots of other activities like rail biking and rafting a short drive away. The campsite is just 100 steps down a well-marked trail accessible from the parking spot. Pitch your tent on the elevated platform encircled in pine trees with a view of the lake. Next to the tent area you’ll find a solar shower, picnic table, Cleanwaste toilet in outhouse, fire pit and Adirondack chairs. The site comes equipped ample firewood, fire starters, and many kitchen items including plates, bowls, utensils, cups, frying pan, can opener, wine opener, salt and pepper, cooking tongs, dish wash basin, and dish soap. Please note, that during Mother's Day and Father's Day is black fly season in the Adirondacks. Difficult to predict, but good to be aware of.
