Wake up to the roaming deer and wild turkeys. Plenty of firewood to be burned. In the outhouse there are games, corn hole, horseshoes. Located in a hay meadow that is farmed 2 to 3 times a year to provide food for our animals. Next to the meadow is a mix of maple and pine trees. In the spring we use the maple trees for maple syrup production. Learn more about this land:This site is close to the road but easy to access. It is located where there was once an old stone barn, and all that is left is the stone foundation. Set around shrubbery trees, with two big maples at the parking spot to provide shade and coverage. You look out to an open hay meadow. That abuts our maple sugar stand with a mix of pine trees in the woods. You will be able to watch lots of deer frolic and play in the meadow and hear the sounds of the wildlife and birds around the woods. You may hear the occasional horse-drawn carriage as our neighbors are Amish and utilize the road frequently. In the distance, you might hear a stray moo as we have three farms on the road that are home to a variety of cows.On the campsite, you are more than welcome to bring a pet and let them safely roam around the field, or take a walk around yourself. If you are up for a farm adventure, please let us know we are more than happy to share our story and give a tour of our multifunctional farm, featuring dairy production, sheep, goats, cropping, and a few horses.In this unique spot, you will have convenient access to Route 11 and be a short 12 min drive to the town of Canton. Around us, we have a nature preserve that allows for walks and wildlife sittings, the Grass River where you can kayak and swim.

My husband and I had the pleasure of being the first hip camp guests! What an amazing experience! We were so happy to visit this hidden gem! It is underdevelopment so it’s under a tad of construction. However this little gem is definitely one I would visit again. Joe was an amazing host and stayed up late for us after a small embarrassing navigation on my part(pfft truck driver getting lost lmbo) I would overall say the experience was amazing. I wouldn’t bring tiny humans… like I said still under development and the ponds… being a hover craft mom still for my adult children. But as a doggie mom my dogs loved it! Thanks again Joe!

1 night at Absolute Serenity

This spot is AMAZING!! Super quiet, private, and just a great setup. We are boondockers so we didn't need anything. A very clean outhouse was a bonus. Great fire pit with benches and a picnic table. Trails all around. We explored the trails to the river, with the drought, it was very low. Very nice trails. A very nice walk down the very quiet road to the Moose River. A beautiful spot to explore. One thing, as usual, Google maps is off on the directions. Follow Stacey's directions and look for the gate. We will definitely be back.

4 nights at Absolute Serenity

This is an amazing camp site. Such a beautiful location. Felt very private. The atv trails on the property made for a nice hike. Great amenities. We had the pleasure of having a cute porcupine waddle right through the middle of our camp one night. Communication with the owner was great, extremely quick response. Highly recommend. We are already hoping to come back someday.

Everything was great, the property was well maintained. The facilities were nice for what it was. We had a wonderful time, the property is very private and quiet most of the time except when there is a caravan of ATVs going by, which is to be expected for the area. The location is fantastic its private , but not too far from anything you might need. It was very nice to be able to let our dogs run free on the property and with plenty of trails there for them to run through.

Weekend Trip to Absolute Serenity

Absolute Serenity was perfect for our group and camping style. Great piece of property with a ton of trails to explore. Large open area for setting up camp with communal fire pit outfitted with benches and picnic table. Stargazing was amazing. Our 3 dogs (high energy hunting breed) had a blast running, exploring and even enjoyed the dog pool on property. It was definitely private and no real traffic - except for the atv’s headed to the trail system. Next time, we’ll bring out sideXside to take full advantage of the location. Stacey was readily available and quick to respond to any questions. Super friendly and welcoming.

1 night at May Meadows Farm

I was in the Potsdam area for several days and found this gem on hipcamp. The site is at the corner of a huge hayfield. No other people in sight, although some deer did wander across the far edge of the field one evening. I went over and met the sheep and cows. That is definitely an add on to consider for this site. Coffee at Park Bagels in Canton is super convenient, and if you are in a rush, there is a Tim Horton's nearby.
