The East Mongaup River flows right along our land. We keep it clean and charged with good vibrations. It will surely melt away any stress you carry; sending you back home feeling renewed, restored, and rejuvenated!
Our Taino Woods Sanctuary, a.k.a Fairy Magical Sweet Land, of twelve acres in the Catskills is the perfect place to commune in prayer, pitch your tent, gaze up at the stars, and unwind next to a nearby fire. This raw, soft, organic land is a home teeming with life. Listen to the birds as they sing throughout the day and into the night. (We call them the fairies). Look for the curious creatures that walk the earth like the frogs and newts. Open your ears to the sweet sounds of the East Mongaup River; and perhaps take the brief walk down to visit her.
We, the land stewards, believe in making a place better than how we found it. We want to preserve the land’s naturalness and ecosystem; so we ask that you do not hurt or remove any of its animals, moss, insects, or plants; and most importantly, do not feed any of them.

Weekend Trip to Private Catskill Glamping Retreat
Elon's place is a great glamping location! We loved it from the minute we got there. Elon and Stefan were great hosts, very responsive and solved any requests right away. Even though the site is located in the same property as the host's house, the location of the site is very very far away from the house, tucked away inside the valley and forest, to the point you won't even notice. The site it's outstanding and very romantic for sure! The hot water tank was a plus! We had no issues or complains, and will definitely be returning again.

Chantel and Jessie made our camping trip a rich cultural experience. Our young daughters were fascinated by their indigenous music and spirituality and they learned to respect and admire nature. The campsite and large tent were ideal for a small group camping experience. Even though we had some light rain for most of our stay, our girls are already asking when we will return.

Being there when the leaves were changing was breathtaking. We would definitely stay again!!

I went Moto camping at Taíno Woods with a good friend and it was such a memorable experience. The land is beautiful and truly feels like a sanctuary — peaceful, grounding, and alive with the sounds of nature. We set up camp, made a fire, and spent the night under the stars. What made it extra special were the songs sung by the hosts in the mornings and evenings — soulful, heartfelt, and unlike anything I’ve experienced at another campsite. It felt both grounding and uplifting, a reminder of the deep connection this place has to spirit and community. The campsites are well cared for and offer plenty of privacy, while still being close enough to enjoy the warmth and wisdom of the hosts. Whether you’re looking for quiet time in nature, a place to recharge, or a more spiritual and cultural experience, Taíno Woods offers it all. Highly recommend and looking forward to coming back again!

We go glamping every year and this was one of our favorites! This space is completely private. Everything was provided for you and we enjoyed going down to the creek!
We had our pup and visited Arrowhead Brewery (dogs allowed inside and they gave him treats) Ollie’s Pizza, and also Inness for dinner and he was loved there as well on the outside deck that had an amazing view!
Communication with hosts was great as well.
Couldn’t recommend a better spot! Went to Minnewaska State Park and also Vernooy Kill Falls to hike, the waterfalls at Vernooy are definitely a must to take a swim in!

Absolutely perfect! 100% recommend. So thoughtfully laid out. The string lights were so helpful at night and the solo stove made it very easy to cook. Very comfy bed too. It’s clear the owners really invested in this very thoughtfully. But really it’s the location that makes this place so excellent. The sound of the babbling stream and the beautiful views made for a really idyllic place. Will definitely come back!

Weekend Trip to Private Catskill Glamping Retreat
This site strikes the perfect balance between elevated glamping and back-to-basics camping. Every box was checked: a stunning creekside view, large tent perched on a raised wooden deck, and a seriously comfy bed with all the bedding essentials. The fire pit made for cozy evenings, and the onsite bathroom and lighting were huge bonuses.
There’s even a shower — just enough to rinse off the trail dust from hiking Minnewaska State Park. Water is thoughtfully provided, which reminded us to be intentional and respectful about usage.
One small challenge: washing cookware without a full kitchen setup. Next time, we’ll bring paper plates for easier clean-up. And of course, bug spray is a must — it's the woods, after all!
We’d absolutely recommend this site. It offers a chance to reconnect with nature while still enjoying some of life’s comforts.

Kind and accommodating, this site is really wonderful. It has access to anything you might need including a little magic. Chantel was a wonderful host and even let us book last minute on the day of (our other site had a big wasp’s nest right outside the door).

We had a wonderful stay at the Yokahu Bell Tent. The host was incredibly kind and helpful throughout our visit — very cooperative and quick to respond whenever we needed anything. The tent was clean, peaceful, and beautifully set in nature, just as described. It was a great experience for our group, and we truly appreciated the hospitality and support from the host. Highly recommend for anyone looking to enjoy a unique and relaxing camping trip!

Weekend Trip to Private Catskill Glamping Retreat
Elon's site was everything we wanted for our weekend away. It was our first time "glamping," and not having to lug all our gear out made the trip so stress-free! The site was serene and incredibly private, with ample shade and beautiful views overlooking a creek that provided the perfect white noise for sleeping in the comfortably equipped tent. The land was full of birds and woodpeckers, and at night we were treated to a host of lightning bugs. I appreciated the rope that made accessing the creek bed easier, and the bathroom facilities were clean and well maintained. Communication and directions from the host were clear, and it's obvious they put a lot of thought into the site set up and maintenance.

This site was perfect and had everything we needed; Elon was very easy to communicate with and extremely helpful. There were games and cozy blankets in the tent to keep us warm and occupied during the rainy morning, and the sounds of the stream to lull us to sleep at night. Such a great place to get re-connected with Nature! Jesse and Chantel welcome you to their sanctuary with hospitality and gratitude! I highly recommend taking up Jesse on the ATV ride if you have a lot of gear to bring to your site. He charges $25 cash for round trip assistance. If you can carry it all, be aware the property slopes down towards the river bed, and you will need to make sure can carry it back up to the parking at the top of the slope. There are several sites on their property along the paths they have created in a way that flows with the landscape.
The platform they have built for the Bell Tent great! Sits above the river bed where you can hear the water ramble by and listen to the birds singing.
We bought wood from Jesse for the fire pit and we were given some cedar to put in our fire that Jesse will explain to you how it is used in the Taino tradition. The fire pit kept a good deal of the bugs away, and tent was great for two of us and our gear.
We welcomed the morning's sunshine with Chantel and Jesse greeting us and with their traditional chants and prayers of gratitude to Nature, which they were kind enough to translate for those who didn't understand the language.
We left feeling like we made great connections to the land and with Jesse and Chantel who we look forward to seeing again on our next stay. Bo matum!

I love this site! This was our second time visiting and booking the same site! It is comfortable and has its own picnic area and fire pit set in which is amazing! We have small children so it was really accommodating of them! The outdoor kitchen located further in the land is helpful!
