If you want to have easy access to the city, but still enjoy nature, this is the perfect spot for you. Take some time to rest and relax on our two acre property or stop by for a safe place to sleep on your way to your next adventure. Sleep under the stars, relax in the shade of the pinon trees, play in the grassy, wildflower fields, or cozy up to one of the fire pits on the property.
Camp sites have access to water and the covered RV space has electricity and water hookups. Love riding as much as we do? Clean off that New Mexico clay at our bike washing station! We are dog friendly and already love your furry companions, but please keep them leashed. We can provide long cables so your pup can still play outside with you!
The two acre property also includes our home, covered RV site, pear tree (help yourself to fresh fruit!), many shady areas to relax, large field to play, fire pits, and access to trails within walking distance!
After a few years of living on the road, we know how hard it can be to find a clean, safe place to stay and how magical it feels when you find just the right spot. Now that we are stationary, we want to share our home with you and give others a chance to enjoy nature and all of the beautiful adventures surrounding us!
We live full-time in the house and do have neighbors on our street (dirt road), please let us know if we can do anything to make your stay more comfortable!

Looking to sleep under the stars in a peaceful quiet surrounding. Come camp on my site. It is located in the housing community of Tres Orejas. You will find everything from million dollar homes to people living in yurts or train cars. There is no running water or electricity. You are on your own. But also your on your own!!! No one will bother you so enjoy.
RVs, pets, camper vans, tents you name it, all are all welcome! There was a RV living there when I bought it so I know it’s possible to get in and out of there fairly easily.
There is an abandoned house on the property. The land is a work in progress

Rafting/swimming: The Pilar Junction Bridge is located 10 min. away. It is a major put in spot for rafting. But also a beautiful place to dip your toes or jump on in!
Rio Gorge Bridge: 10min and you will be at the Rio George Bridge. One of the most gorgeous scenic overlooks. You can walk across the bridge to a 200ft drop below to the Rio! There a few local Mountain Goats that chill here regularly. Here you will also find public restrooms as well as dumpsters. There are no restrooms on site. An outhouse is being built but for now we dig holes or use the restrooms at the George Bridge. There are local vendors usually set up here in the parking lot.
Taos Ski Valley: The Taos Ski Valley is about 45min. But worth the drive to get away into the mountains grab some food and beverages!
Earthships: The Earthships are located 5min down the road. If you are interested in building off grid homes I recommend checking out the visitor center!
Taos Mesa Brewery: There is a brewery 10/15min away that has outdoor shows and events.
Buddhist Temple: If you continue on the road within Tres Orjeas you will reach a Buddhist temple at the top of the hill.

A gated private property on a quiet 10 acres at the literal end of the road, backing up to Pecos National Park. Nestled in the Pecos National Forest, Rincon Del Cielo is the perfect getaway for active (or passive) individuals, couples, and families.
It’s a serene, relaxing environment that also offers plenty of activities both on and off the property. The campsite includes a four-burner grill with side burner, gas fire pit, electricity, trash can, picnic table, gated/fenced dog run/tent site, portable toilet w/hand washing sink and non-potable water.
Rincon Del Cielo’s property boasts meandering walking paths, including Hummingbird Lane, which features 18+ feeders to attract these little bundles of energy (seasonal). There’s plenty of birdwatching to make even the most experienced ornithologists envious.
For kids, there are slackline swings and swing bars, plus badminton and volleyball nets for families (seasonal). Nearby, you’ll find world-class river fishing, hiking, zip lines, mountain biking, national parks, and other points of interest.
There’s plenty to do—or not do—and plenty to see while visiting our corner of the sky.

Jon was very responsive and his property is a lot of fun! The gas grill and fire pit were nice to have, and the gated dog area was good for putting the pups in while we were cooking and sorting out camp. The walking trails around the property are very cool! Thank you Jon!

Really sweet place to camp. Even though you are basically in someone’s backyard, it still feels secluded. We didn’t get to enjoy the peacefulness of the site very long because we had an issue with our trailer and had to take it for repairs our one night there. If there wasn’t rain in the forecast for the next couple of days I would have happily extended our stay for a few more nights.
The only drawbacks were the half mile narrow, bumpy road to get to the property and the lack of turn around space on the property. Keep in mind that this is coming from someone who is severely back-up challenged. If you can back up even fairly well then this won’t be an issue. If you are like me, it is easier backing into the spot than it is backing out. Ask me how I know, lol!
Nevertheless, enjoyed our stay and would recommend.
