Waubonsie State Park is close with hiking trails and seven miles of Horse trails. At night you can use a portable corral to have your horse close. But! wanted it close to town so I do not have to travel far and still be close to the city attractions. The lodge backs up to a large hill--called the Loess Hills. Many deer, raccoon, possum and turkey call it home and so does a few pets of mine to include a mini horse and goat. They just love being adorned by new people. We have a world class zoo, incredible state parks, college world series, and countless incredible bars and restaurants. Omaha is a hidden gem with everything to offer. The Iowa border is only 30m away for a quick trip to the casinos or Lincoln is an hour away to catch an infamous Husker game or tour the capitol. Like history? See the Lewis and Clark museum down by the river. We are easily accessible off a paved road and our field is flat and grassy with plenty of space to park on. Well behaved dogs on leashes are welcomed. Please know that we have a friendly husky that roams the farm and may come and say hi. She may also react to pets in her space so please watch your furbaby closely.
