Serenity Sheep Farm Stay

NO DOGS!  

This is a working farm and we have dogs, sheep, goats as well as other animals.   Adding yours into the mix of animals has proven to be more hassle than what it's worth.  

I've been at this for 16 years.  Please ask questions before booking.  Sneaking your dog(s) in doesn't work.  

We live on 40 acres of my husband's grandfather's original 160 acre homestead.  We are the only ones still farming.  They rest of the family have either sold off their land for big bucks or have built homes on it. We enjoy sharing our little piece of paradise in the Gallatin Valley.

Take a step back in time. Imagine yourself as an original Homesteader in this early 1900's cabin. But with modern convinces. 5 minutes from Gardiner, Montana - The North Entrance to Yellowstone & Yellowstone Hot Springs. We provide delicious well water!  Little Trail Creek runs thru the property. There are two rooms in the cabin. Dining table, kitchen supply hutch & wood stove in the main room.Two queen beds,  a small cot in the bedroom. There is one chandelier and 1 outlet in each room. 

There is one extra cabin with one queen bed available for an additional fee. It is 4 feet from the homestead. It is only available for use by guests of the homestead cabin, so it is private. 

There is a gorgeous new shower house built in 2023. It provides a large walk in shower, vanity and sink, outlet and standard flush toilet. &nbsp;

Candles, oil lanterns, propane for the&nbsp;BBQ grill, campfire ring, camp chairs, wood stove, towels, hot springs & river towels,  bedding, pots, pans, utensils, basic camp supplies are all included! There is a separate shack with an electrical outlet, toaster oven, electric coffee pot, percolator, a single electric burner for the&nbsp;cooking supplies. There are 3 other rentals on this property. Each cabin has 1 - 1.5 acres of private use and are generously spaced out.The Homestead&nbsp;cabin is bordered by Little Trail Creek and the house pasture. There are 5 horses on site.&nbsp;&nbsp;Absorkee Wilderness is in the back yard with thousands of miles of hiking trails. This is a Glamping experience. There my be wildlife - including bears, elk, deer,&nbsp;bugs or field mice at anytime. We have tried to preserve the Homestead cabin as much as possible to its original state. There are elk, deer, birds&nbsp;and&nbsp;other native wildlife on the property daily.

Bear Canyon Bliss

Bear Canyon Bliss caters to outdoor enthusiasts year-round. In the summer, explore nearby hiking trails and witness the vibrant foliage. During winter, embrace the snowy wonderland with backcountry and cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and winter hiking.

During warmer months there is a short uphill walk (~250m) to the sites; in winter, you can access the tent via skis or snowshoes up the hill.

Madison River tiny house/camp site

Our property is close to town but far enough out that you feel secluded. We have wonderful dark nights with amazing views of stars. There is a fishing access a mile down the road, or you can hike to the river which is approximately 1000 feet to the river. The river isn't a real deep river, a lot of people use it to float on tubes, but it has been known to have some nice fish also. The area always gets afternoon wind gusts that happen daily and don't last long but something you'll want to be aware of.

On site we have available for rent 2 tiny houses and 4 Rv hook up spots. Our property also has a yurt, an additional tiny house, a skoolie and a motorhome.

If you’re wanting to just get away to a beautiful spot, take a hike along the river, float the river or fish this is your place. It’s beautiful and quiet.

Miner Creek Campground

Nestled on 60 acres you'll find a private campground in a cottonwood grove just across a log bridge over Miner creek.  Across the gravel driveway you'll find a second campground that is tucked back in a secluded cottonwood grove, and further down the driveway, you'll find the 3rd campsite.  The campgrounds are 5 minutes to the charming historic downtown of Livingston and the Yellowstone River, 20 minutes to Bozeman, 20 mins to Pine Creek Lodge and an hour to Yellowstone National Park.  Dogs are welcome, as long as they are friendly to other dogs. Our dogs freely roam the property.

**All sites share an outhouse located in the parking area by the trail to camp #2. It is only onsite from May 15 to Oct 15.

#1: "Creekside Oasis" campsite has a picnic table, fire ring, a hammock, solar lighting, and a small portable charcoal grill. Although you can car camp at # 1, please note that the camper spot is just off the gravel driveway, and not across the creek where the tent site, picnic table and fire pit are located.  

#2: "Off the Beaten Path" campsite requires a short 1-2 minute walk on a tight, uneven path through the trees. It is a small campsite with a fire ring, 2 camp chairs and solar lighting.  Do NOT rent this tent site if you need to be close to your car.  This site is not on the creek. Creek access is down a trail to the left off the parking area.  

#3: "Not for the Faint of Heart" campsite is a 2-3 minute walk from the parking spot on an uneven, tight trail through the trees.  It has a fire ring, two camp chairs, solar lighting, and a small portable grill.  Do NOT rent this tent site unless you are ready to explore and do not need to be close to your car.  Make sure you arrive before dark because although the trail is lit by solar lights even with headlamps it can be tricky to find your way through the trees. Closed-toed shoes are highly recommended. The creek is not right by the tent site like it is in campsite #1. There is a small break in the bushes that gives creek access. 

*For all sites we recommend storing your food in your vehicle overnight.

*For all sites you need to bring your own firewood and charcoal.

North Fork Cabin

This property was occupied and homesteaded in 1932 by Lloyd's Dad, Vern who began the outfitting business and raised his family here. The cabin is located on the bank of the pristine North Fork of Bear Creek approximately 1/4 up the creek from the North Fork base of operations.

VanGoBoon Campground

BEFORE MAKING A RESERVATION IN MAY: The main bathroom/shower is not available until the first of June. There is porta potty on property however.

PLEASE NOTE: VanGoBoon is a campground, not a RV Park! Much like a NFS campsites but close to town, with easy access off Hwy 90. There's water on the property available in several areas of the campground. Some sites have water at the site. Otherwise we are considered a "dry" campground.

Welcome to our campground! We are a "Roadside" Campground that offers the convince of easy on/off access to Hwy 90 and the close proximity to Bozeman. We are adjacent to Hwy 90 and the Montana Rail System. 

We have a variety of options that should suit just about anyone. We are near Yellowstone National Park as well as Bozeman, MT which offers all types of recreational opportunities e.g. hiking, fishing, climbing, skiing, cycling and running trails.

VanGoBoon is the perfect "Pull-in for the Night" as well as week-long stays! Most of our sites are SELF-CONTAINED. We have 4 sites that have electric and water hookups. (20,30,50amp)

The lawn area has horseshoes, frisbee golf, and corn toss. We mostly offer dry campsites for overnight stays for vans, tents or RVs . Most sites are on concrete slabs so they are level and the property has grass areas with trees as well.

FYI: Great site if you like trains! An important part of Montana’s commerce is transportation by rail so there will be highway and train noise. If you are a light sleeper, you may want to have noise-cancelation devices handy.

Private spots between trees but near freeway for easy access. Our 2 horses have been a favorite with young campers along with the open yet private campsites! We look forward to welcoming you!
