Camped in spot 3, very beautiful spot!
The directions are accurate but finding the pull off was a bit difficult. It is before the bridge; don’t cross the bridge it is behind you.
GREAT little spot to stay and the water that runs through makes it a very peaceful area. Highly recommend!

The Ellison ranch is the epitome of hipcamping! Big ranch, lots of space and privacy. The dogs so enjoyed it!! They also loved when I would get in the river with them for fun :)

I've always enjoyed ranchers because I come from ranchers. Good people!
The sights around the area are spectacular not to mention the wildlife!! Do not miss Natural Bridge Falls. It isn't far away at all. The drive alone is spectacular!
I rode my bike for 13 miles from the ranch down a forest road and it was breath taking. I really enjoyed my time in Big Timber as well. I love small towns where people are polite, helpful and friendly.
If you have an rv, Big Timber Tire has an rv dump even after hours.

Camping site #4 was very peaceful and tucked away along the river. We enjoyed the beautiful views and easy access to the river to hang out on the rocks, and our pup loved the wide open freedom. Thank you for sharing your amazing property with us!

The land and river are beautiful and we enjoyed the solitude and being in the country. You share the area with lots of wildlife, and cows, and should be comfortable with managing barb wire tension fences to access the site. Read the directions carefully to get to the site. Experience with maneuvering camper trailers in tighter spaces and small hills is important.

Incredible spot on the West Boulder. Quiet, wildflowers and wildlife galore. Nothing but the sound of the creek rushing by. Mowed areas to camp (two sites in #4 to choose from - check out the one up top before you unpack at the first one). This is a real jewel so I hate to give it such a great review. But, I reckon everyone deserves a chance to enjoy it. Just be respectful of the neighbors, don’t spinfish or take trout - you aren’t in Missouri, and clean up after yourself. You are in one of the most beautiful spots in the country and it is special.

Wonderful campsite, although the lack of a bathroom is a little difficult. This is definitely a no frills campsite, make sure to be prepared when you camp here, and bring everything you absolutely need.

This was the best hipcamp spot we have ever had. Everything was really green and the snowcapped mountains in the distance were stunning. It was really beautiful. Our campsite was very secluded and private with the West Boulder River running past it. We would definitely like to return there sometime.
