For dining out, Cooke City has several summer restaurants. Easy to get basic provisions at The Sinclair and The Cooke City General Store - actually, you must visit the General Store, it's AWESOME! You can make a full meal from what they offer, but for more variety, shop in Cody, Livingston, or Gardiner before arrival. We keep cooking oil and spice at the house. Whether you are renting to work remotely, need a basecamp for a month of wildlife viewing, or want to provide your family with a unique summer experience, this house will cover your basic needs with ease - shelter, kitchen, internet, and a shower. WE DO NOT HAVE A TV. THERE IS NO CELL SERVICE IN COOKE CITY and many places in the park and to the east into WY. You will want to use "calling over wifi" to make phone calls when you are in wifi, and using this option, your phone works as normal. NO SMOKING NO PETS We built this with our own hands, just the two of us! Thousands of hours of sweat, sometimes tears, a LOT of hard work, long days, missed skiing, and sacrifices. This is our home away from home, and we hope you treat it with love and care so we can enjoy the newness of it too :)

We absolutely loved staying there! If you want to be "in the city area" without the normal city camping, check these folks out! Robert and Anne were so kind and accommodating! There was also a boondocker in the back, we had the full hookup, other than a occasional "hello", it still seemed super private.

We loved camping on Judy’s land. We had a great spot for our van at the end of her field next to the river and amongst the trees. The location is right next to the road, so there is a fair amount of road noise, but we still felt like we enjoyed a good amount of privacy. There is a porta potty and water available near by. It was a great location with close proximity to Tippet Rise (30 mins away). Judy was lovely and easy to communicate with. We felt lucky to have found such a beautiful spot and would definitely camp there again.
