This land has been asking to be shared. First it was swings and little things for the grandchildren and their friends. Then the Cabin by the pond began to welcome visitors. Soon the steep slope anchored a Yurt with a wrap-around deck that puts you up in the trees. Our gathering spot by the creek became a camp site. Recently the grandkids' Bunk House found its way in. Our Retreat is 10 acres, narrow, but 1/4 mile deep, stretching down a steep wooded slope to a creek - and up the other side to the top of a bluff.  It is only ten miles to Jefferson City but has a quiet and distant feel.

Absolutely must see! The yurt is beautiful and cozy and everything has its own little place that makes you feel right at home. The land is beautiful and the trail down to the creek allowed for some great scenery and view of the wildlife. We will definitely come again outside of the winter months to enjoy the yurt magic.

I went looking for remote, and remote is what I got. This places was absolutely fantastic! I stayed down by the river and had an amazing time. The road down can be a bit rocky but easily doable in just about any vehicle. Lance was a great host and shared a lot of knowledge about the property and surrounding area. I'll definitely be back!!!

I live in a rural area and this is VERY RURAL, and that’s just fine. The hosts are very nice and accommodating. We could have stayed up top but wanted a view of the river so we braved the rustic trail to the secluded river spot. We both had AWD and were glad we did because it was a bumpy ride. However, totally worth it. The site faced west over the river and we got to see deer run across the low river and heard owls and coyotes. It was 100% primitive camping down there but we had brought water and a portable toilet so we were prepared. If you have a vehicle that can make the trek down and you don’t mind primitive and secluded, then this is a spot for you.

Clean, well stocked, and private. Exactly what we needed to get away from this realtor’s crazy work life. Location is spot on for spending the day in nearby cities and enjoying quiet evenings in. The perfect solution to those who would prefer an upscale feel in a perceived camping environment. The only thing we would change would be sturdier chairs around the camp fire. Although, we did have a good laugh.

This yurt was absolutely spectacular - my jaw actually dropped as soon as I opened the door. This was our checkpoint on our way home to Ohio from Colorado, 16hrs in the car from CO to MO, and this little place was exactly what we needed. We were elated to find AC, full working kitchen and shower, the most comfortable bed of our entire trip, and gorgeously whimsical deco fitted with tea candles and fairy lights for the perfect ambience. Their kitchen was fitted with all of the utensils and equipment one would need, including a microwave, electric stovetop, and a pantry stocked with seasonings, among many other kitchen amenities. The food we picked up on our way into town had gotten cold by the time we got in, so we were so relieved that we could use the kitchen to heat it all back up! Even the outhouse was stellar, with running water for washing and compost toilet. All in all, the only thing I would have changed about our stay is that I wish we could have stayed longer! Bill's Yurt was a wonderful place to stay! It is in a beautiful location on the property and the overall location was easy for us to find on our bicycles. Awesome property. Loved the freedom to enjoy the land. Road a little rough to the river but that’s what makes it fun. Atv heaven. A little shooting if you like. Lance and Patricia some cool cats. Anyways we roamed into to the town of Linn. Nice place called Ozark View. Golf course swimming pool bar eats and other things. Also went to the town of Belle shot some pool at the local pub good eats. Float was awesome Lance took us up river about 5 miles. Fun getting out at his place a little creek off the river. Love adventures. Welp a must hang out. Plenty of wood to burn.

This yurt was truly magical! The setting was so private and quaint.. the trails that were right on the property were so fun to explore. Check-in was seamless and all instructions were clearly provided. Bill was an amazing host, and even shipped back some items I had left behind asap. Everything was so clean and all of the cooking supplies provided allowed us to make some scrumptious meals throughout all the outdoor activity. We had such a wonderful time lying in the hammock attached to the deck, and never felt swarmed by bugs! It was two nights of pure bliss in a beautiful area, we cannot wait to come back!

Was a great quiet escape, comfortable in the woods, with a trail to walk right outside the door. Space was clean, great communication, great directions. Would book again and again!
