We are still in the earliest stages of building, so it’s a very rustic, off-grid experience, and with more visitors, we plan to build cabins and install solar and water collection systems, so we can have outdoor showers, natural pools, outhouses, community areas, a retreat center, and shops for community members to run their businesses from. We are following food forest and permaculture methods instead of traditional gardening, and our long-term vision for this land is a new garden of Eden!
We need all the help we can get, so we also offer volunteer trade opportunities to anyone interested. Or, if you just need a place to step back from the busy hub of society, ground and reconnect with nature, Soultribe is the sanctuary for you!
You may utilize the little spaces we currently have available for camping, or get in touch with your primal nature, explore our woods and cut down your own trail and campsite. We will be present to assist in any way, open to sharing and communal activities - or we can offer you solitude and privacy during your trip… it’s entirely up to you!

We had such an incredible experience staying with Deborah and her husband. They were kinder and more welcoming than I ever could have imagined. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel comfortable and genuinely cared about our stay.

Debbie was the most kind and over-the-top accommodating host I’ve ever met. She spoiled me and my two girls! She fed us dinner and gave the girls treats. In the morning she gave the girls hot chocolate, toys and beads to play with. Her property was fun… being right on the bayou! She even had kayaks for us to use. She set chairs out for us to use to watch the bats at sunset. An absolutely amazing time was had!

We LOVED our time at Bayou Peninsula! Debbie and O.J. are gracious hosts with a beautiful property. The location is conveniently near I-10, the beach in next door Waveland, also bars, restaurants, shopping etc while being secluded enough to enjoy true peaceful down time. We enjoyed watching the waterfront property change with the tides and stargazing by the firepit at night. Debbie's generous hospitality cannot be overstated. To say that this was an amazing stay would be a massive understatement. Thank you so much for being so welcoming and for having such a beautiful property to spend 5 days at. Waking up next to the river each day was so calming and peaceful. Beach is 10 minutes up the road. Easy access to grocery stores, restaurants, and Walmart.
