I had the most incredible experience here on Austin and Wanda’s Christmas tree farm! I stayed on Christmas and they were so kind as to share leftover Christmas food with me. Thank goodness bc everything was closed. Their dog Moscato got along with my dog perfectly and tired him out playing after a long drive. They offered to put him up before I got there but I was happy to have the dogs play. They went far above and beyond my expectations and the site was nice and private. There was an outlet to charge my phone and a spot for a fire and wood although I didn’t build a fire. 10/10 would recommend. I’m glad I chose this spot. They were such a sweet, kind, and generous couple.

Great backwoods camping/overnight spot woth accesd to beautiful sandbar on the Escatawpa River. We visited with B+ camper, 8ft wide, 10 ft tall, 24 ft long and this is probably the size limit to prevent overhead and side limbs from scratching your camper on the access path. Very quiet site, and host provided good directions to access the site in the dark.

We cannot say enough about how beautiful Vikrum’s land was. It was so peaceful and quiet and the river view and beaches were amazing. We had a little difficulty finding the initial turn off from the dirt road but the GPS directions lead us right to it. We just didn’t listen to them 🙄. The trail to the campsite was totally passable for a Tacoma and a grand Highlander. We loved it and so did our pups! We will totally be back. Thank you for a wonderful little break from reality!

My fiance and I had a fantastic time on the river. It was secluded just like we wanted, quiet, the water was perfect!the drive down to the river was hard to navigate at some areas but we made it! Beautiful sandbar, didn't see a single person for 3 days. Perfect place if your looking to unplug for a few days!!

We’ve camped at this spot several times now, and every visit just reinforces why we keep coming back. The property is absolutely beautiful — serene, quiet, and nestled right on the banks of the Escatawpa River. Whether you’re relaxing by the water or waking up to the sounds of nature, it’s the kind of place that instantly makes you feel grounded and at peace.
The primitive camping setup is exactly what we love — no frills, just raw nature. It’s the perfect environment to unplug, reconnect, and even brush up on some survival skills. My two boys especially enjoy the experience; they’re always excited to explore the woods, learn new outdoor skills, and just be outside without the distractions of screens.
If you’re looking for a peaceful escape where you can truly disconnect and appreciate the natural world, this spot is a must. We’re already looking forward to our next trip.

Great place to spend with the family. Very quiet and peaceful. I love that you can pitch a tent just about anywhere from the beach to the woods whatever you prefer and still be right on the river. Will definitely be back and highly recommend to all my outdoor people.

Stayed one night here in a tent, definitely more of an RV type site, but had a great experience nonetheless. Bathrooms and showers available for use. Drove in after dark and accidentally set up camp in a non-site area but the host was kind about it. Saw a few gators and the frogs were going wild across the water.

Great campsite! We were able to tent camp in the shade of the woods and enjoy the sandbar on the river each day. Safe and clean. Isolated away from others which is what we prefer. Our dog loved it, too!

Loved the sand and the sound of the river. This spot is very unique and beautiful. Word of warning for those who have *full size pickup trucks* …. It takes some very skilled driving to get down to the water! Very sharp turn near the end of the road just before you get to the beach and not much room for error. And if it rains and the road gets muddy u better have 4WD I barely made it out on the morning I left the ground was fairly soggy. Just saying! Other than that there’s no spot like this one!

This property is a hidden treasure and easily accessible from I 10 Interstate. Quiet and relaxing with a very sweet host. We had nice large field with a vineyard all to ourselves. Plenty of space to take a stroll through the adjacent Christmas tree farm fields which are quite beautiful too!

We arrived earlier than the scheduled check in and host allowed us to head to the site anyways which was great considering we had our young, tired kids with us. The off road wheeling (nothing crazy, but not just a dirt road either) to the site was fun and as others mentioned, you want a good 4wd vehicle to tackle it. The site itself is incredible; quiet, remote and beautiful. Do note there is virtually no cell service but we expected as much

Had a great weekend with a good friend and our two boys. Lots of area for kids to explore and play. The beach is always clean and also very secluded which is preferred fo me and my group. Only thing I could say would be maybe some better signage hard to find at night. But over all 9.5/10
