The existing road going in "Vickors Rd" can be bumpy, dusty, wet and may hold pools of water at times but the road itself is solid and will support the heaviest of vehicles.

The woods are quiet and undisturbed , harboring native species like jack in the pulpit, trillium and Florida anise. The spring-fed (and thus always refreshing!) Topisaw Creek forms the eastern border of our property, so plan to spend time on the sandy beaches and rock bars soaking up the sun or hunting for rocks and fossils (petrified wood and arrowheads have been found here). Many folks also enjoy a leisurely float down the creek in inner tubes ('tubing') or in a kayak. (Please note that after heavy rains the creek rises to epic heights and is too dangerous to navigate.) Little to no light pollution makes for amazing stargazing!

Gravel is only provided at the entrance area, encircling the metal shed. Any driving off the gravel runs a risk of getting stuck in the slippery clay/mud. I arrived later than scheduled and they still greeted me immediately and got me to my prime real estate (right next to the pool). Super helpful. The property is well designed and tucked away from the world. A lake to fish from, a pool, a pavilion, 2 dog parks, a store. I just started my RV journey and have been to a few spots. This place exceeded my expectations. A must stop in Mississippi, along the I-20.

We had a wonderful time camping at this site. Decor was fun and holiday themed. Staff was friendly and kind. Very attentive. Neighbors were fun. Our kids had fun on the playground equipment. Plenty of room for running and ball games. We had a nice fire. Didn't get to try the gem mining b/c we ran out of time. The area was great for walking. Overall great stay!

Everything went well! It was an easy in and easy out location. All the hook ups worked great. Hosts were friendly and helpful, but gave you privacy, as well. Askews Landing is truly a hidden gem in Mississippi. The scenery is breathtaking, with lush landscapes and tranquil waters that make it the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle. My wife and I had a fantastic time renting the paddle boats—gliding across the peaceful lake was both relaxing and fun. The area is also a great spot for fishing, with plenty of quiet corners to cast a line. Great place to stay. Safe and secure. Gated, well-maintained, beautiful property. Felt very safe. Stay was the peaceful respite that I needed after a long day of driving. Ron, the caretaker, was a wonderful, welcoming host. Would stay here again in a heartbeat if traveling through the area.
