We really enjoyed our weekend on John’s land, and wouldn’t hesitate to come back. Beautiful countryside, and our little girls really enjoyed all of the animals. Didn’t try our hand at fishing this trip, but did take a stroll around the property on a perfectly manicured path. Great cell signal for streaming some Saturday afternoon football. The farm site was beautiful, quiet, and peaceful. Kiddos especially loved the friendly animals. They loved getting to pet the horses, little donkeys, and cats. John provided a nice screened in sitting area as well as a hot shower and clean restroom. We didn't have time to go fishing, but the lake was serene. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you, John!

This location was easy to find and absolutely beautiful! John and his family were very friendly and welcoming. I pulled in about an hour before sunset, setup, made dinner, and found a peaceful cozy place to eat that overlooks the lake. The sunset and sunrise was beautiful! Hung out by the lake until the sun went down. The bathroom was easy to find and shower was warm. Thanks for opening your property to Hipcamp and for your welcoming hospitality.

The site was level. large fishing pond to catch and release. There was a screened in porch with a full bathroom and kitchenette space for your use. There was not a stove though so keep that in mind. My only concern was that the water and power for the rv sites were shared..so if both sites were being used 1 person would need an extra long water and power cord. The animals were all friendly.

What a beautiful and peaceful place! We stayed in the more private pasture which was a quick walk to the bathroom and kitchen.
Such a great benefit to have a full bathroom and place to wash dishes. the hosts are so welcoming. Where we stayed is right behind their house but they did their thing and we did ours.
Would definitely recommend!

This place ranks as the best hipcamp we've ever stayed at. It felt private with a horse barn near and a good distance from the host's house. Lot's of walking trails around the horse pasture and pond area. The birds were great on our early May visit - especially the singing purple martins in their house next to us. Perfect birding area with multiple environments - pasture, large pond, forest, wetland. We also saw herons, geese, various warblers, meadowlark, and others.

It’s a lovely little farm! We were greeted upon arrival by 2 donkeys, 4 horses, and a fetching gaggle of hens. John responded quickly to our questions about parking our camper. There are two unmarked RV spaces next to each other and the hookups for each are together. As it turned out, the neighboring camper, who arrived later, didn’t need hookups and parked across the lot. The bathroom was a short walk near the lake with a shower and an inviting screened porch. It was a restful place to spend the night on our way across the country.

After a long day on the road, we pulled into this serene little farm which had a nice level gravel site for our small camping trailers. The other campsites were on level grass with a nice view of the grazing horses. The family members welcomed us and guided us to the pavilion with the bathroom, shower and kitchenette. John responded quickly when we had a question on the parking options. In the morning we watched the animals get their breakfast which was enjoyable for us and for our dogs who were nuzzled by the friendly donkeys and horses.
There were good areas for dog walking and we enjoyed visiting with the friendly and kind Darnell family members. We will stay here again if we are passing through!
