PLEASE NOTE: I don't consider our location good for one night travel stop over. Our location is remote. We are 40 miles from Meridian, MS (I20/59); 20 miles from Philadelphia, MS; and 28 miles from Hwy 45 and Hwy 21 intersection. Although we get a lot of one night stays, the best reviews come from campers who want to rest and relax in a country setting for a few days.
Family farm consisting of pasture, pine tree forest, rolling hills and farm ponds. One RV site is beside a forest in a pasture. It's our premium site with 50 amp power, water, and sewer. It's quiet and peaceful.
Our original site is across from our house adjacent to our farm shed. It has 50 amp power and water. It's close to the public road so there is more noise. I consider it our secondary site for overflow.
Suggested Local Attractions: Don't leave until you've visited Sciples Mill. The best time is Saturday for a live tour. It's a 200+ year old water powered grist mill.

Solomon's Garden is a humble 5 acre working homestead located in the Black Warrior River valley. This working farm and community space provides glamping and camping options. Included is a 3 stall shower house with flushing toilets and hot water showers with enough room to change comfortably. Guests are welcome to drive right up to their tents (in dry weather) and within 50 feet in rainy weather.
We currently have a semi-private camping area in our small orchard that is flat and grassy that we recommend for tent campers on any day. We also have a larger, more remote camp area available for those looking for a more complete glamping experience. Our canvas tents are equipped with electricity, lighting, pillow-top mattresses, linen and plenty of space for relaxation and luggage.
Guests can request the number of beds needed for their stay. If you're traveling with children, twin beds are available. If you're traveling alone or as a couple you can choose a full bed. We want to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Enjoy evenings by the fire at our communal fire pit, situated between the logs.
Add-ons include: Propane camp stoves, refrigerator space, use of the community kitchen, wood stove heaters, farm fresh eggs and more. Guests are also welcome to walk our nature trail, lined with the stumps from our beloved forest which are now covered in herbs and berries.

We take great pride in that we use nontoxic cleaners during cleaning, and all linens are cleaned after each stay. Great place for people with sensitivities to cleaners and perfumes. We have a grocery store, Dollar Tree, Dollar General, Post Office, gas stations, and several places to eat within 6 miles of the cottages in our small town of Collinsville, MS.
The space
Our cottages, named Kudzu and Willow, were built in 2021-2022 and are approximately 336 square feet. Enjoy sitting outside during the day, soaking up the beautiful sounds of nature and the starry skies at night. Our property is gated for safety, super private, and quiet!
Guest access
We have two cottages sitting close to each other; this is the area you have access to. We have a larger building on the property as well, and you will see people coming and going using the common driveway. Park close to your specific cottage and avoid blocking the common space in between the two cottages.

We loved camping in the pasture near a serene pond sheltered by rows of pine trees. Woke up to birds chirping in the pine woods. Danny set us up with electrical and dumping service. As well as access to water. It was a drive in for a quick one night stay as we traveled back to WI but would be worth it for a longer stay. Danny was very friendly-when we come back we will bring him some squeaky cheese curds!

Host was sweet and was great about my 9 pm arrival. She gave a nice tour of the facilities next morning and has worked hard on upgrades. Highly recommend for groups that want to do agri tours/camping.
Dogs and cats were fun to play with. Orchard was relaxing and good for level camping.
I would recommend for a place to stay over after Alabama home games for camp sites.
