My son and I camped on Emily's property for 5 days, set camp up right next to the beautiful pond where you can fish or go swimming. The property is absolutely beautiful with trails you can walk an explore and watch wildlife everywhere. Would totally recommend great place to relax and unwind. Emily is a great host can't wait ti go back

1st let me say, that treehouse was not what we expected. Huge size, very spacious and fully accommodating. We didn't need anything. A perfect host. To be surrounded by woodlands, we didn't get harrassed by many bugs and true to word, that port-a-john was immaculate. My new husband and I had the best honeymoon.
The tree house was right above the road and you'd think the traffic would be a bother, but it wasn't and in the treehouse you only heard the wind, the tree, and acorns being thrown by squirrels. Peaceful & natural. Sam was a pleasure to meet and bond with. Very friendly and even asked if we need anything from the store on her way home. She's a true Gem.
The beds in the treehouse were spacious and comfortable. Very cozy. We will be returning.

I hammock camped in a beautiful site next to the pond. Compost toilets were nearby and very well taken care of (these are small, self-contained toilets that may not be a great option for larger individuals), with a full shower and bathroom at the retreat center up front. Water pressure in the shower was VERY low, but it was as expected for a small earth-centric retreat center (if you need a shower while the retreat center is in place or find yourself in need of water pressure to blast off a long day, the TA truck stop is 15 minutes away and offers private showers for $17. Tent camping area had a few gorgeous trees protecting it and a fire pit for use.
Owners were very welcoming, met me at arrival and provided a tour of the retreat center, map of the property, and information on anything I needed.
Excellent property, would absolutely stay again.

3 nights at EarthWell Retreat Center
Earthwell is a wonderful place to unplug and immerse yourself in nature without feeling completely cut off from humanity.
The retreat has charming, well-stocked cabins that felt cozy and homey. Firewood and amenities were thoughtfully provided. Outhouses were well-maintained and managed odor surprisingly well.
The property itself is stunning: grass trails wind through meadows, forests, hills, and streams, with a pond perfect for paddling (canoes, kayaks, and a paddleboat are included). Wildlife is abundant- fish, frogs, and turtles in the pond; hawks, bats, and countless birds overhead; and even the distant calls of coyotes and foxes. The diversity of trees- walnut, oak, maple, and pines- made the terrain lush and vibrant. Nights brought a gorgeous starry sky and mornings offered beautiful sunrises.
The host, Emily, was warm and welcoming while providing plenty of space. Chelsea, just ten minutes away, makes for an easy day trip or supply run, but you may never want to leave the property.
Overall, Earthwell is a fantastic spot for several days of peaceful retreat and a place that captures the best of Pure Michigan.

What a peaceful and tranquil place to have as home base to explore Detroit and Ann Arbor Michigan. Temps were high, so having a 50 Amp hook up was so important to us to be able to run our a/c. Also being able to fill some water in our tanks was very helpful as it has been hard to find publicly. Camping World is only 12 miles away in Chelsea and the dump is free if you have A Good Sam’s membership. The hosts were responsive when we needed them but also gave us our space to do our own thing. We were in a 34 ft class A RV and we fit, but you may need some help being guided in, so let them know when you are close by.

Beautiful, serene tent, camping space on a super clean swimming pond. You will need to cart your belongings to your site (they provide the carts) but it’s a five minute walk and I did it in three trips for a full weekend. For me, it was 100% worth it for such a bucolic spot and great hospitality.

Easy to find, serene and quiet, loved seeing sandhill cranes in the lavender field as we arrived. The host allowed us to take a peek at the chicken coop which was cool to see! The proximity to Lansing was a plus for our stopover to see friends in town. We drank our lavender tea under the stars and were lucky for a nearly bugless night! Other than the praying mantis that found it’s way to our tent as we were taking down camp the next day 😄

We had such a great visit to EarthWell retreat! We absolutely loved our little rustic cabin and all the details made it so inviting and cozy. No need for electricity when they provide wireless fans and lanterns. The grounds are very well taken care of, the trails easy to walk and explore. The pond wasn’t too swimmable as it was later in the summer and the vegetation was high but we never felt that distracted from our weekend. Chelsea is close and has lots of options for food and shopping. Having the main house for charging and showers was a really nice extra benefit. We also fell in love with a very friendly kitty that came to visit us a few times. Overall, this is a great place to come and take a break from it all. Highly recommend!

This is a lovely place to camp. The property is well-cared for and peaceful. Liz is a great host! She was ready at check-in and available for questions. She even gave advice about the town on request. Otherwise, she honored the privacy of the campsite. Highly recommend!

4 nights at Treasure Hunt Treehouse
I really enjoyed our stay in the treehouse. It turned out that we arrived at midnight, and the treehouse was beautifully lit up, and Sam had provided a bowl of snacks and pitcher of water, which was much appreciated. We had coffee every morning on the porch or by the firepit, and listened to the birds. The property is filled with trees and is very lovely. Portapotty was super clean. Sam was a proactive host, making sure we had everything we needed. She even offered to make us breakfast one morning (but we didn't take her up on it). It was quiet at night, and I slept very well. One night there was a big thunderstorm, and a few drops of rain fell inside the treehouse, but it was no big deal, and an info binder in the treehouse had provided a heads-up about potential raindrops. This property has plenty of activities for kids (although we were two adults). Sam's absolutely adorable and very well-trained dog occasionally hung out with us. The larger area provided lots to do (by car); we loved Wamplers Lake and also Cherry Creek Cellars, a winery. Sam's property is relatively close to the road, and cars regularly go by during the day. While the property is on a hill above the road and surrounded by trees, you'll hear the cars. That was no big deal for us, but may disappoint anyone looking for total silence. As we were leaving, Sam brought us homemade blueberry muffins! Thanks for a lovely stay!

Two parents and a 7 year old slept well in late June. Clean, nice bathroom and outdoor sink. Cozy bed and hammocks. Pets were friendly. Was not buggy either on ground level or in the treehouse although flies, etc were in the local neighborhood.

We stayed two lovely nights Elizabeth's Oaklore Lavender Farm in our van. Our daughter and her partner stayed with us for one night. it was easy to find, beautiful and quiet. we purchased some eggs and tea. I haven't tried the tea yet, but it smells divine. the eggs were perfect. The as sunrise, sunset and stars were stunning and the chickens were fun to watch. plus the hosts were welcoming. We would definitely stay as again - maybe reserving the building for movie night!
