Thousand Suns is siting on 84 acres of beautiful land.  Thousand Suns is a tribal community nonprofit with monthly events, guest stay, ceremony and celebration.

With a river running through the land a spring fed pond with beach, community garden. Yoga studio Beautiful art and amazing people, you will leave the land charged and uplifted.

Our treehouse and fire pits where we enjoy having drum circles and other community gatherings. The tree house will soon be available for rent

Nature and Nurture Farm

Our 130 acre property is currently an organic heirloom vegetable seed farm that is only 12 minutes from Ann Arbor. Part of it was formerly owned by the Egeler family who at one time owned quite a bit of Marshall Rd and part of it was owned by the Mersereau family. It was formerly a conventional farm, but we've converted it to organic seed production (see www.natureandnurtureseeds.com). The rolling land is 1/2 forest/wetlands and 1/2 fields, making it a biodiverse hot spot for plants, animals, and fungi.

Idk if this lonely chair was here because this is a perfect shade tree, but I used it and loved it either way.

Be Wild and Free

This is a 76 acre farm in a rural agricultural area.  Learn more about this land:This is a 76 acre "farm" that has been allowed to rest for the last 20 some years, surrounded by large agricultural fields.  There are areas of pasture, woods, and wetlands.  This is a very rustic piece of property, with no amenities.  Just a chance to get away for some fresh air.

Our little Prius did fine on the farm road, but it may have been tricky if it was wet. You could always park near the road and hike it!

Long Haul Farm is an organic flower farm in Chelsea, MI dedicated to sustainably growing plants, family, community, and soil biology for generations, the long haul!

We are doing less flower growing that we did before, as life has taken us to work outside of our own space. However, we've shifted to more stewardship on our property and the adjacent preserve. We'd love to guide you on a hike and teach about the local ecology, flora, and fauna too!  The goats and chickens continue to provide joyful entertainment as well.

Growing up, I used to come here to visit my great-aunt & uncle's horse ranch. My great uncle grew up visiting his great uncle who was one of the first in our family on this land. They were animal and nature lovers, and in their retirement, sold 130 acres to The Nature Conservancy, all of which is now protected as a county nature preserve.
Unfortunately, 11 years ago, my great-uncle and aunt had passed, and we had to sell the family land.

Serendipitously, as we were looking for a farm homestead to move to, we reconnected with the owners of the land, and they were just deciding to sell it. My family was able to buy back the family land and continue the legacy.

Kathryn and I are restarted our cut-flower farm and hoping to develop a permaculture inspired orchard and keep chickens and pigs. We love living here surrounded by extensive state and county parks and recreation land, while still being close enough to Chelsea and Ann Arbor for all that they provide.

Our aim is to create a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable atmosphere for our visitors. We hope to provide a refuge in nature and perhaps even some education of flowers or wildlife.

Camp Windsor

Beautiful campsite with very easy access to local dinning but feels like your in the woods. Located right next to Skidway Lake.Learn more about this land:The campsite is located right next to Skid Way Lake. You are back off the roads in a nice wooded atmosphere. There is a boat launch, public beach, and bar within 1/2 mile.

Grace's Blueberry Orchard Camping

Located just outside of Michigan's capital, Grace Blueberry Orchard provides a nice option for people looking for a country feel in the city. There are a variety of parks nearby as well as rivers, lakes, and trails that are easily accessible from this location. Grace Orchard is home to a family of fake farmers who share the property with a flock of chickens. In the summer months when the blueberries are in season, campers are welcome to enjoy the wild fruits throughout the property. Camp sites are available with good privacy. The many trees on the property allow for hammocking options as well.  There are multiple large areas for camping, all with fire pits.

This hipcamp is an entrepreneurial endeavor of our kids who are raising money for their education. They have a bee sanctuary which humanely extracts limited honey amounts each year. Our youngest also sells tea infusers. Sunday brunch (Mexican) or (Korean) Ramen may also be available for purchase.

Our country home is located on 7 acres near Lansing and East Lansing, Michigan.  

We are the proud parents of a small flock of chickens who roam the property throughout the day.  

The property is surrounded by beautiful large trees that provide shade to hang out, read, or eat a meal.

All 3 sites are deeper into the property near our 2 acre blueberry orchard

Camp Site #1 (S1) is the largest of our sites. It is centrally located on our property, has easy access to the water source, bathroom, and shower, and is the ideal site for larger groups or people with car tents or large cars and camper vans.
