We had such an incredible experience staying with Deborah and her husband. They were kinder and more welcoming than I ever could have imagined. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel comfortable and genuinely cared about our stay.
Deborah went above and beyond by recommending amazing local spots to explore, and every suggestion was a hit. You can tell she truly loves the area and wants her guests to experience the best of it. Their hospitality made the whole trip feel special like we were visiting friends.
If you’re considering staying here, don’t hesitate. It’s rare to meet hosts who are this thoughtful and generous. We would absolutely stay again.

I stayed here while visiting New Orleans to experience Mardi Gras. Plenty of space, calm, quiet, peaceful. I got some great rest after spending time in the city. Got a couple of good pics of the bridge at night as well.

Deborah has a great place for a quick overnight. It's very peaceful for a restful night from busy campgrounds. I car-camped, but I made sure I was fully self-sufficient. It was so nice to sit by the water.

We enjoyed our one night stay at the Bayou Peninsula. Deborah was a great communicator and made the experience very easy. We wish we had more time to enjoy the docks and water. We hope to stay agaim when we pass this way.

Easy access and not far from the intestate so a great overnight option. Even though you're situated off of a main road, it was quiet throughout the night. Hosts were great reaching out to ensure we knew where to go.

Overall, the experience was delightful. I was able to pull my little camper right next to the pond and enjoy the serene view over the landscape. I enjoyed fishing in the pond and caught multiple nice size bass and a catfish, and relaxing. My son enjoyed riding his bike on the path around the pond, playing on the playset, and feeding the alpacas. Had a great time, the host was excellent, and would definitely visit again.

We arrived Friday & had a fun time till we left Sunday. The property, the pond, & Ms. Erica were great. Ms. Erica even helped us out with some extra sleeping bags when the night time temps dropped lower than expected. From fishing in the pond to seeing all the animals, our grand-kids enjoyed & learned a lot on the farm setting. We’ll certainly add it to our “let’s go back” list!

It has several sites that are good size to the right as you go in. Sign says park yourself and let them know which site. There are 5 sites to the left that are tight. As no one was there we parked in one of those sites. Gravel site was very unlevel but electric, water and sewer worked well. Was quiet where we were. Note: last site does not have sewer.

It was lovely. I was worried aboot lack of peace because it was near 2 highways, but it was super peaceful. Didn’t hear any vehicles. I saw deer and squirrels several times the few nights I stayed. There was plenty of space to walk around and explore. I loved that my dogs were able to be free once we were on trails away from others. The host was great, very helpful and kind. It’s a very safe place. They love their community, (something similar to what I’ve been aligning with- soul tribe eco-village). I really did love and appreciate the 5 mile speed limit, even if I had to keep remembering it.
The slimy/residue feeling on my skin from the shower/sink I assume is soft water and would take some getting used to. All was great.

Magic River was a quaint and quiet campground where we spent a week enjoying our waterfront campsite. They have great water pressure in the camp shower and the staff is very responsive to any needs. Very pretty campsite! ❤️🏕

Debbie was the most kind and over-the-top accommodating host I’ve ever met. She spoiled me and my two girls! She fed us dinner and gave the girls treats. In the morning she gave the girls hot chocolate, toys and beads to play with. Her property was fun… being right on the bayou! She even had kayaks for us to use. She set chairs out for us to use to watch the bats at sunset. An absolutely amazing time was had!
