Our remote 375 acres part farm and part natural woodland nestled up to Daniel Boone Forest is ideal for hikers and nature lovers. There are several hiking trails onsite and plenty of woods to explore. ATVs or side by sides are welcome to be used on the main gravel roads and some designated areas of our property. There is plenty of wildlife but NO hunting is allowed. Some of our designated tent sites do have firepits and/or picnic tables. Our trek in sites do not have those options. Pets are welcome for $10 per pet/per booking and they do need to be leashed/under control at all times. This is an extra so please be sure to add that if you plan to bring your pet. Red River Rewind is a small glamping community that is themed off of the owner’s passion for different genre music, vintage, antique history and memorabilia. Currently still a work in progress, we offer a customized bell tent which sits on a 20 x 30 platform deck, with a customized, insulated, fully functioning outhouse which has a shower, commode, and sink that allows endless hot water. “Elvira” is our cozy small cabin. Both have electricity, and water, and full bathroom accessibility at their own site. “Hey Jude” also offers a small wood burning stove to accommodate for cooler temperatures with an Eden pure heater, and fans for warmer weather days, and mobile AC. ELVIRA has a window AC unit and heating with small unit. The customized fully furnished bathroom just steps away from the tent, offers endless hot water. There is also a water spicket just a few steps away from the deck. Note that should the wood stove want to be used, guests need to supply their own SMALL pieces of wood as it is a miniature fireplace. The cabin will be designed with a mini split heating and air system, in the future. WiFi is not currently available though an amenity that is upcoming in the very near future, fiber internet being installed mid July 2025. Cell phone access is good in our area typically. Red River Rewind has common shared amenities to include: a 3/4 acre fully stocked pond which is available for simply viewing its beauty as the fountain flows, or catch and release fishing as seasonally available, many family and friend oriented activities to choose from to check out and return such as cornhole, large checkers, and many more. As time and weather permits, we plan to expand with really neat projects and extras in upcoming months, and would love to have visitors passing through our beautiful area who need or want a place to stay or locals who just want a little change of scenery. We are simple, ordinary people who just want to share some of the things we love about life with others. On a clear note, there are beautiful images of the stars here. 1 night at Red River Gorge Glamping & Cabins

This was my first glamping experience and I simply loved it! The yurts looked more magical on site and we had a cozy bonfire and toasted marshmallows by the fire. Me and my friends are glad we chickened out of camping and did glamping instead because it provided us more comfort and coziness than camping. We woke up to horses running around near the area and had another fire. Totally worth the trip!

We loved our tent camping experience on Sarah's land. She was super responsive on any questions we had. There were a ton of little touches in the glamping tent that made it so nice, like games, extra blankets, extra toiletries, a mini fridge and a microwave. Being able to see the animals each day and having such a picturesque area was great. It was very peaceful.

Weekend Trip to Red River Gorge Glamping & Cabins

I absolutely adored our yurt stay in the Gorge. The property is perfect, the yurt is spacious, has electricity, a small fridge, space heater if needed, a very comfy bed, and cute outdoor lights. The bathhouse is wonderful with a hot shower and shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. There are toilets on the end of each side of the bath house. There is one campfire for the whole yurt village which I loved! It gave us a real community feel and we got to know 6 other friends around the fire one night. There is cornhole, dart board and horseshoes as well. It would be helpful to know that the parking lot that you are supposed to use can only be accessed by the "road" to the right that doesn't look like a road after you turn off the main one. The other road takes you to the property as well and some of us parked there as well since all of our cars wouldn't have fit in the other lot. You will love this sweet place! I am inspired to buy some property and make my own yurt village now.

We only had one night here but we loved it! It was very clean. Very peaceful! We were the only ones there but if there are other people you have to share the fire pit. So if you dont like that, I wouldn't recommend it. Otherwise, very nice place to stay! Nowhere for kids to play except the grass area around the yurts. Would be nice for a family to rent all the yurts and have the place to yourself. There are 5 all together if I remember correctly. One thing I would say is dont go by the coordinates it says . Use the actual address it gives you. The coordinates stop in the middle of the road and you still have approximately 3 miles to go.

As a solo female camper I felt 100% safe here. The hosts are way cool! Gorgeous property, very spacious, accommodates a variety of tastes from quiet solo to fun groups. The "fun barn" has games, a kitchen, music and even a claw machine (don't try for the stuffed turtle). Great trails and the friendliest ducks ever. I'm going back! Oh yeah - as mentioned in the listing it's best to get there before sundown, the roads are ridge/hollow twisty without lights. Signage at the ranch is great. Truly a special place.

My son and I stayed at the glamping tent Hey Jude and honestly I can not say enough good things about it. The tent was comfortable, well lit and loaded with nostalgia from my past that made me feel like I had travelled back in time. It was well decorated and defined the word cozy. Explaining VHS to a 10 year old was quite fun. The tent was very well put together and on a nice wooden deck with great lighting. A telescope was in the tent that you could use to stargaze. It really was a wonderful stay, well thought out and seeing as they are already working on another site this is going to be a place that I will want to visit often. The owner was so communicative and answered all my questions even leaving some fish food for my son to feed the fish in the pond. This is a five star stay and one of the best I have ever been at with Hipcamp. Great job Sarah.

Weekend Trip to Red River Gorge Glamping & Cabins

My girlfriend and I loved our long weekend stay at the Rough Creek Bunkhouse. Amanda, David and our hosts all made sure that we had exactly what we needed for a relaxing stay. If you just click the address listed on Hipcamp it is roughly 1/2 mile off from the actual location. I recommend entering the actual address into your maps app. The Retreat is tucked back off of High Rock Rd and can be easily missed especially if you are arriving later in the evening with low visibility. Despite being called the Bunkhouse, we assumed that there would be at least one bed that is not a bunk bed. That is not the case. There are only two beds both of which are bunk beds. I would recommend adding sleeping arrangements for adults who do not wish to sleep in a bunk bed. The property owners were in the process of transitioning to new ownership and were still working on unboxing supplies. The cabin did not have a grill or firepit for our use which was disappointing. I am hoping that the new owners will add these things for future guests to enjoy. Overall the cabin and property was exactly what we needed for a relaxing weekend getaway. I would absolutely go back to the Retreat at High Rock for another stay.

Cozy little cabin on an absolutely breathtaking piece of land!! Especially with all the rain lately, the waterfalls were really flowing! The beds in the cabin were super comfortable and we all slept great. Liz and her husband were so nice and very helpful!!
