We chose Bare Ass Acres for its excellent reviews and for its proximity to the Tall Grass Prairie National Preserve. The good reputation is well deserved: Brenda is a very welcoming host, the sites are fairly flat, with water and electricity, and availability of sewer. You can hear the train, but it certainly didn't keep us awake. We stayed 2 nights. Brenda, we enjoyed our conversations. If we ever travel to this area again we will definitely stay at this hipcamp again.

Great spot to camp when visiting Emporia. Close to town, but also far enough away to be quiet and peaceful. Brenda was exceptional the entire duration of my stay. The location has everything you need. Would love to come back here again!

We loved the peace and quiet off the beaten path. Our rescue dog Gemma loved the wide open spaces- she ran and played until she was exhausted. Brenda is great host, helping us find her farm when we “got lost!” Total hookups. You can hear the trains in the distance. Best night’s sleep in days.
