When you arrive at the property, hosts Kirt and Kim will be there to greet you with a smile, and give you a tour of the grounds. And, if you are lucky, Kim will bring you a basket of fresh baked goods. Farm dogs Charlie and Buddy, no doubt, will be there to tag along on your tour - but not to worry, they are friendly dogs who keep guard over the chickens and goats, and are sure to become your two new best friends. After your tour of the vast and serene property, you will be shown to one of the three group tents, or the more secluded tent on the other side of the property - depending on which tent(s) you reserved. All of the glamping tents are safari style with spacious interiors and luxurious details you are sure to love. The three group tents can sleep up to 4 each, and are furnished with a queen and two twin-sized beds, along with cozy decor. There is no electricity in the tents, but there are lanterns and solar lights to help guide your way back to your retreat after dark. The group tent area also includes a community fire pit for late night S'mores, another outdoor area with a gazebo and a grill, and an enclosed outhouse and shower. The secluded tent is for those who want a little more privacy. This tent is furnished with a queen size bed, and is stylishly decorated. Along with the incredible tents, Dry Creek Post also offers many perks that bring guests back time after time. The Rowdy Rooster is the infamous clubhouse that is always a hit with guests. This clubhouse is original to the property, and was renovated by owners, Kim and Kirt, for guest use. Along with the hand-painted "Texaco" sign on the floor, the clubhouse has a rustic feel, and gives you the feeling that you have stepped back in time, or into a really cool bar in the city. The Rowdy Rooster includes a bar area, mini fridge, table and chairs, popcorn machine, lots of games, and blankets for chilly nights. Weekend Trip to Glamping the Flint Hills

We stayed one night at Steve and Sharon’s land during our road trip from Nebraska to Kansas, and it was such a lovely experience! My children absolutely loved it — especially the Yut, fireplace and adorable, friendly horses that my younger son couldn’t get enough of. The Yut was spotless, cozy, and very comfortable. It was so beautiful in the night under the moon and stars. We truly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this place to anyone!

2 nights at Bare Ass Acres

We chose Bare Ass Acres for its excellent reviews and for its proximity to the Tall Grass Prairie National Preserve. The good reputation is well deserved: Brenda is a very welcoming host, the sites are fairly flat, with water and electricity, and availability of sewer. You can hear the train, but it certainly didn't keep us awake. We stayed 2 nights. Brenda, we enjoyed our conversations. If we ever travel to this area again we will definitely stay at this hipcamp again.

We stayed in the yurt and it was awesome! We enjoyed not having to set up a tent and it was already set up and the inside was very nice! We were on the way to Colorado so glad we found this place! They were very responsive and very helpful. We chatted with Steve for a little while when we got there after he showed us back to the campsite. He is very friendly and would highly recommend!

Having literally everything we needed already at the site was so thoughtful and made our trip stress free. Easy to get to off the highway for a one night stay and then back on the road. The host greeted us kindly when we arrived and we parked in the tent area. We car camped in the back of our SUV. The toilet was a little far to walk, especially in the middle of the night for me and my child. maybe they can add one closer? It was a peaceful and idyllic and we saw fireflies.

Traveling home from vaca we were looking for a spot off the beaten path, quiet and somewhat secluded. This spot was definitely off the beaten path, quiet for the most part but the trailer spot is right off their main road. Secluded, is debatable. The trailer spot is approximately 300 ft from the host’s house. It is shaded with their farm animals within view. Horses and chickens. I’m not sure this would be suitable for us for a long stay but for a quick overnight it served its purpose. Host - Steve was helpful and very informative and helped with making sure we knew where to hook up. They did inform us of their land and where we could walk around but unfortunately due to the amount of traveling we took the opportunity to just rest.

Steve was great. He showed me around the site and gave me info in his hiking trails, restaurants and more. The site is beautiful and is located right by a field where he keeps his horses. The bed was super comfy. If you go in summer be ready for lots of mosquitoes and bring tick repellent if you plan to hike on his property. I’d definitely go back.

Weekend Trip to Dry Creek Post

We loved our stay at the Sparrow tent. The tent was very large, well-decorated, and comfortable to sleep in. We were able to cook up a great breakfast and enjoy it in the darling outside eating area. The hosts were great and met all our needs. We would highly recommend staying here.

Additional area behind tree line for setting up tents. Camper will be rented and moved to driveway area.

Came into town for Unbound gravel. Christine and her family were so welcoming. As soon as we arrived we were welcomed and shown around. The camp sites were on a beautiful farm close to the interstate with easy access. Would definitely stay here again.
