My ONE and ONLY Hipcamp site is locate right at the entrance of this small property. All campers must be 35 feet or less in length and given the small size of the campground it's easiest if you arrive before dark.
The entrance is on a curve so make sure you enter from the left hand side of the road and don't be afraid to roll thru a little grass to make sure you have plenty of room. Make a hard hairpin turn to the right and your campsite is straight ahead and like everything here, a pull-thru site. (Please see HIPCAMP main photo)
This is a long-term campground but I keep this one spot up front for our traveling friends to enjoy as you move across the country as options can be limited. Enjoy your stay and if you're ever unsure about anything just give me a ring.
Please make sure to arrive before dark. Small campground and quiet community with minimal lighting can make for a challenging and sometimes disorienting arrival if not careful.

City life from Lincoln and Omaha can feel a little tight sometimes. Little Rivers Edge is a wonderful spacious campground for the perfect weekend getaway being only 30 minutes down the road. Just a mile outside of Syracuse gives you all the convenience of the town without any of the crowded feeling. So...light a fire and play in the river! I am located to the West of Interstate 29 off exit 95 halfway between Omaha, Nebraska and Sioux City, Iowa. It is near where the Little Sioux River meets the Missouri River. There is river access with bank fishing and a boat ramp. The Loess Hills are nearby and the state forest. There are small lakes in the surrounding areas and Lewis and Clark parks with beautiful views.

I stayed at the Fence Post in October, after water was shut off for the winter. HOWEVER, when I made the reservation, the host was very quick to tell me this… so I was prepared! Kathy was great about giving instructions to get to the spot (make sure you don’t come in too close to the building!), and how to leave if backing up was a problem. The area behind me was very spacious so it was “easy” to back out and drive out! ( I say “easy,” because I’m new at travel trailering and backing up isn’t ever really easy for me - yet!!). I was very pleased with how level it was - from a picture I had seen, I didn’t expect that! Woo hoo! Lots of green space available to walk the dogs. This was a one-night stay - just passing through. I noted that others discussed traffic noise. It is true, it is not too far off the road BUT, I didn’t hear a thing (& I didn’t have tv or music on!!)! I am happy to recommend it to other hipcampers! Thanks Kathy… and I hope you have a great winter!

Beautiful stay! If you want gorgeous sunsets this is the place to go! Devlin was flexible and easy to get a hold of! On hipcamp the bathroom is always something I'm curious about 🤣 so here's the info- it was one porta potty for the whole place. There are quite a few sites and a good portion of them were full (even on a week night) so you ended up sharing with a lot of people. There was no toilet paper, but I never messaged Devlin to let him know so that was not his fault, sharing with that many people means there's a high chance of no to so being your own. You should also bring your own hand sanitizer as there isn't any.
They had some pretty walking trails down to a river. The river seemed low so it wasn't much to look at. The stay was near a gravel road and large trucks seem to barrel down the road so if it's dry you get a whole wave of dust blowing off the road so the best campsites are going to be the ones further back off the road. I can't remember if the map has the road on it but we were in site 6 and it was on the backside away from the road for reference.
All in all a good stay, nothing crazy exciting but the lots were level and mowed and the host was clear and responsive, really what more can you ask for?

This is my 2nd Hipcamp experience and once again very favorable. Devlin provided quick response to my few questions. We would not have found this jewel without being on Hipcamp. Spaces are spaced a bit more than most RV Parks. Had I read the descriptive I would have realized there was water for RV's at the entry, good electrical connection. Love the location, dark sky and quiet. If you enjoy gravel bicycling, plan to spend a few days in this area.

The campground felt quiet and private. The 5 mph speed limit kept things safe, and quiet hours at 10 p.m. meant we could actually hear the crickets at night. My dog was welcome and had plenty of room to explore on leash, which we both appreciated.
Overall, this is a great spot for anyone who wants a low-key, well-kept place to pitch a tent and relax. I’d happily come back for another night under the stars.

The Little River's Edge was perfect for our last hoorah for the summer. We tent camped in area A. I appreciate the fact that it's a good distance away from the rv lot so that you get a more primitive feel. The lawn where the tent sites are is well manicured and we didn't run into any burrs, stickers or goat heads. There's a lovely trail to the river, where if you look hard enough you will find coral fossil, chert, Jasper, and quartz. We listened to coyotes chat at night, saw a gorgeous blue heron in the little river canyon and even stumbled upon an impressive beaver dam. The location is very convenient. We visited Auburn, Brownville, Nebraska City, Weeping Waters, Plattsmouth, Omaha, Hamburg Iowa and Rock Port Missouri while staying at Little River's Edge. Devlin was a great host. Communication was quick and easy. I would definitely recommend this camp site, and I would return as well!

Great little campground for relaxation or just passing through. Wide open spaces, path to rivers edge, spacious sites, fire rings, nice picnic tables, community fire pit, and white rock. Water fill available in 2 locations, and a porta potty. No dump station. The host was friendly and stopped by to chat. Firewood also available upon request at standard pricing.
