Each site is in a wooded, shaded area with a flat area on the ground to place a single large tent. Each site has its own fire ring and a small wooden table. There is wood on the ground you may use for firewood, and ample twigs etc on the ground for kindling (do not cut any trees or branches off trees). There is a covered firewood shed with dry firewood as well. There are maintained trails with river access for kayaks. There are 2 porta potties near the campsites with a handwashing station, that is open year round. There is a single bathroom with flush toilet and sink with running water that is a short walk away (open May-Oct depending on weather) There is an outdoor on-demand hot-water shower at bathroom, with a water hose available as well. On-demand hot water heaters provide hotter water at a low water pressure, and cooler water at full blast.
We do provide a large trash bin near the porta potties for trash disposal. DO NOT throw trash into fire pits or burn barrels in the woods.
Campsites are a short walk (100-200 feet) away from parking area (you CANNOT drive directly to or park at your campsite). Foster Park is a short bike ride away where you will find greenway trails that run throughout Fort Wayne (ride your bike to downtown!!) Our property backs up to the St Mary's River, bring you kayaks and fishing poles!
(We reserve the right to assign you to a different (but equally beautiful) campsite in the case of property maintenance concerns, recent rain or weather conditions etc). All guests must be part of a registered group!

If you are here in the spring through fall, you can expect a "sea of green". We are surrounded by corn, soybeans or some other mid-west crop. It's quiet out here, so enjoy the sunshine. We put out a large garden each year and we'd love your help.
Right now, we can only offer primitive camping. Our electric is not operational.
If there has been a lot of rain (April and part of May), then the ground is too soft for camping. However, if you just need a spot we have some gravel driveways where you can set up.
There are lots of places to visit while you are here. Two large lakes with free public access are about 40 miles away - Lake Loramie and Grand Lake St. Marys. Lake Loramie has a public beach, bicycle rentals, canoes and kayaks. There is a great restaurant across from the State Park.

We stayed in campsite one. It was really nice and not too far from the parking spots. The bathroom was also nice and not too far of a walk from the campsite.
We will definitely be back again. We loved that they provided firewood!
Just be prepared to carry your camping stuff to your site, they do have wagons but when we went everyone else had taken them already and kept them at their sites so we had nothing to use to haul our stuff to our site.

I liked it so much I booked it again on my return from Saint Louis! The place is spotless, private and I felt very safe as a solo camper. This is a unique little gem with places to walk and some of the best coffee/pastry just down a little path along the creek. I've done alot of camping with Hipcamp and this is one of my favorite spots so far! It's dry camping so bring your luggable loo if you're not totally self contained. Would be a great spot for a low key romantic weekend. The coffee place across the way is also a wine bar and has a lovely patio!

The campgrounds were clean and maintained. It was easy to get to and quite. I only stayed for one night, but I enjoyed myself thoroughly. I'd recommend for anyone to give it a chance. Being so close to the river was delightful and I'll be returning again in the future.

This is a beautiful property with about 8 camp sites. We choose number three and we had the whole place to ourselves. We took chairs to the river and did some fishing. If you want to see what we caught check us out on YouTube Fish~N~Rocks with Ben and Sue. Everything was great we had a great time.

I had an awesome time camping here! The trails were well maintained, there was a bench set up near the river that was perfect for watching the sunrise. I camped at site 3, which had the perfect amount of shade. When I am in the area again I definitely plan on returning!

We had a wonderful time tent camping for the weekend!! Marla’s property is beautiful, quiet, and very peaceful. The campsites are spaced out nicely for privacy, the grounds are well-kept, and the location is an easy drive to downtown. Plus, they have carts to help haul your things to/from your vehicle, as well as firewood provided!! We couldn’t have asked for a better first experience using Hipcamp. Definitely recommend!!
