During WWII our Camp provided RnR for soldiers, sailors and Army aviators stationed at the numerous bases and training facilities around Indianapolis and Central Indiana. It was our Granddad's Duty Station at age 60 and Grandma had to ran the canteen. 25 miles SE of Indianapolis, Crossroads of America, 90 mi from Cincy via I-74, and 100 from L'ville or 200 from Chicago via I-65/465. 4 miles off I-74 Exit 109 at Fairland Rd (Indiana Grand Casino); 8 miles from I-65 Exit 97 at Worthville Rd, Camp Restwood is readily available to travelers on I-74, I-65, I-70 or I-69. We are 30 minutes close for Indy 500 fans, NFL Colts, Triple A BB Indians, NBA Pacers, WNBA Fever (w/ Caitlin) or NCAA & Olympic fans!
