4 nights at Sandhill View Ranch Campsites ⛺️

Tyler was a great host! I failed to book properly and got the RV site when I meant to book the Airstream. Lucky for me that no one had booked it for that weekend and we were able to work it out! I loved sitting out at the picnic table in morning to look over the valley while drinking coffee. At night it was a glass of wine under the stars and the twinkling lights of the city off in the distance. It was peaceful there and very restorative. I loved watching the sky with all it's variations of weather off in the distance. The surrounding properties were distant and quiet. One review mentioned the freeway, and you could hear the traffic, but it was far enough away that it was easily tuned out while listening to the birds twitter and call. The place was easy to find with gps.

Loved staying in this Airstream. The host was very friendly and helpful and we had everything we needed. The view at night (and in the morning) was magical too.

This was the first stop on my best friend's 7-state 30th birthday road trip, she had been driving us straight from 8:30 AM til we arrived here right before sunset, and it turned out to be everything we needed after the long journey! Tyler got everything warm, clean, and comfy for us before we showed up, and even shoveled paths and the picnic table area for us (quite a task, given the ~5" or more of ice-topped snow). The outhouse was also very clean, and not even particularly cold, somehow. We had a nice dinner with silly YouTube videos, thanks to the fast WiFi and nice little TV, and scoured our dishes clean with the snow. The couch and bed were both very comfy, and we both had plenty of space to sleep in the latter (definitely could've fit a third person with ease). Perhaps the best part was how beautiful our surroundings were in the morning; the Sun rising over the vast, misty, white landscape felt being in a modern cowboy dream scene, and you can see all the way to the distant city from the door of the airstream (which was also a pretty sight at night). Tyler told us we were the first Winter guests they've had, and we both give the experience full marks and would definitely recommend it to everyone else!

Luckily, we heard this property was coming on the market and we were able to work with the owners on purchasing before listing. With 360-degree views from the property, we invite you to set up camp and enjoy. You can have your boat at the dock of the Owyhee Reservoir in 25 minutes - or simply take a drive to enjoy the views, paddleboard, fish, swim, hike, hunt, off-road, and more. You'll find a local hot spring along the way to the Reservoir. Local restaurants and grocery options are as close as 20 minutes, and one burger joint even delivers! The sunrise over the valley and sunset over Mitchell Butte and the Owyhee Mountains just cannot be beat. Occasional wind storms crop up, so be prepared for that! Gentle pets are welcome. A round pen for horses/mules *may* be available for larger four-legged friends. Most do get cell phone service, and if you need anything - we are happy to help!

We are close to wine country, hiking, shopping, fishing, and general enjoyment of our beautiful state. we have horses of our own and hey our field three times a year. We also live next-door to happy Valley orchards, which is a very fun walk to take around the cherry trees and enjoy the sunsets.
