Personally, I love to ride horses and hike there. You may be greeted by horses or dogs on our property, and it's quite possible that you will hear coyotes at night (light sleepers take this into account). If you are a horse or dog lover, you are able to interact with our animals on the property! I am on the property, as well, for any questions/issues/concerns. We are 20 minutes west of Craters of the Moon National Park, 15 minutes from Silver Creek Preserve, 1hr from Shoshone Falls, 1hr from Sun Valley and 1 hr 30 minutes from Hagerman hot springs and fossil beds. Our 1/2 acre straw bale camp is open for two Hipcamp sites, divided by a natural privacy fence. There is plenty of space at camp for yard games, running around and playing! We live next door to camp and are kitty corner from the Oasis/Exxon station that provides RV dump, propane, fresh water, wifi and air fill up. We hope you enjoy your stay!

Overview

The small resort town of Sun Valley sits in central Idaho, about 150 miles east of state capital Boise. Skiing is quite popular in the winter months around here. The area's Bald Mountain regularly appears on lists of the world's best peaks to ski. Sun Valley is also popular among travelers headed to the nearby Sawtooth National Forest. With over 2.1 million acres worth of forest, there's plenty of exploring to be done here! The region's many hot springs are a big draw for those who enjoy relaxing in the natural heat. If you're into no-frills camping, aim for Sawtooth's Boundary Campground. The area is pretty small, with just nine sites. Still, it's very convenient to Sun Valley, Ketchum, and local trailheads while retaining a sense of seclusion. The Wood River Campground is similarly secluded but slightly larger. This camp contains 30 single-use campsites. Picnic tables and public toilets in this area provide a bit more amenities than Boundary Campground.
