Sleeping arrangements comfortably accommodate up to five guests with one bunk bed and a futon. Bring your own bedding and pillows based on the season. We recommend zero degree sleeping bags in winter and lightweight bedding in summer. Towels are not provided.
There is no running water and no shower. We provide fresh five gallon drinking water jugs and a clean private porta potty. There is a sink inside for washing dishes.
The yurt is heated and cooled with a mini split system. We do not provide firewood for the wood stove or firepit. Firewood can be purchased locally in Crouch or Garden Valley. There is interior lighting but no exterior lighting, so bring headlamps or flashlights for nighttime use.
Cooking amenities include a two burner propane stove with cast iron griddle, a private deck with propane grill, and a fully stocked cooking setup including dishes, utensils, spices and olive oil.
The yurt is accessed by a short walk from the parking area and terrain may be uneven, muddy, snowy or icy depending on weather. In winter, AWD or 4WD with winter tires or chains is required.
We live on the property but respect your privacy completely. You will not see us unless you request assistance.

The 30’ yurt came from Pacific Yurts in Cottage Grove, Oregon. The yurt was erected in 2022 and in 2023 we added all the rooms and beautiful woodwork inside. It is on a Kiln Dried Tongue and Groove decking. Yurts are designed to withstand cold winters and this one is no exception.
Temperature Control:
The decking is insulated underneath to help with the cold winters. When the sun is out on a warm day the yurt will heat up nicely through the dome and can be cooled by opening the windows, the dome, and running the ceiling fan. Also keeping the outside windows up keeps the heat out if you get to hot.
the yurt is equipped with a mini-split w/remoted, allowing personalized temperature control.
Kitchen:
We have everything you need to cook a meal at your home away from home. Refrigerator w/freezer, 2 burner cooktop, microwave, Keurig, and toaster oven. Have all the basics from napkins, plates, silverware, cooking supplies, spices, flour, sugar etc. Don’t feel like cooking then head down to the local bar & restaurant for a nice meal, drink, and meet some locals.

The yurt was super clean and had everything you could need! Maybe bring some chairs to sit outside to look at the stars, but otherwise amazing! Wish we could have stayed longer and explored more. Just know everything is a minimum hour drive except Idaho city. Will not regret staying here!

We loved the yurt! We are normally tent campers, but with a newly adopted dog and an elderly dog we decided that the yurt was a good alternative this time. It was the perfect place to relax and recharge for a couple of days. It felt private, in and among all the trees. The walk from parking to the yurt was tricky for our old arthritic dog but with a little assistance he was able to make it along just fine. Having the amenities in the yurt of the AC and lighting made it extra comfortable. The stove and fridge made cooking easy. Wade was very responsive and even provided a recommendation for easy river access when we asked in the middle of our stay. We can’t wait to come back again.

Our family enjoyed a winter weekend at Wildedge Yurt to celebrate a birthday. The kids had a blast sledding and playing in all the fresh snow on the hills around the yurt. The yurt itself was very clean, warm, and comfortable. The porta potty was also fresh and clean.
We parked in spot #2 near the porta potty. It wasn't a very far walk at all to reach the yurt. Basically just down a small slope from the road. Spot #1 is a bit further, about a 5 minute walk. We brought suitcases, totes, and a cooler instead of backpacks. If you go that route, definitely park in spot #2, or at least unload up by the porta potty.
Wade was extremely easy to work with and responded to my questions quickly. He also kept in touch with us about snow levels and access. It's beautiful there! It was a weekend full of great memories and our kids are already asking when we can return!
One thing to note: There are 2 roads named Timberline Dr. off Banks/Lowman Rd. If you just plug in the address in Apple Maps it'll take you to the first road (coming from Boise), which is not correct. Don't take that one.
Instead, follow the written directions Wade sends you and go to the 2nd Timberline Dr. that starts out as Huston Rd. that is just a bit further down Banks/Lowman Rd. Wade plows that road in the winter as it's basically his really long driveway passing by some summer cabins.
