Crazy Cow Farm Adventures is located in a small quiet town called Samaria, Idaho. Our family has run this farm since, Samaria was first settled in the late 1800s. It is a working farm, and so you will see us feeding the baby calves, and lambs, irrigating the fields, harvesting and hauling hay as we go about our day. We work hard on the farm but we also know how to play hard. Crazy Cow Farm Adventures has a fun hay chopper wagon ball game, peddle cart track (lots of fun for all ages), and farmyard laser tag. All of these fun activities can be purchased along with your night stay. Contact us for reservations and prices. The Crazy Cow Farm Adventures is the perfect place to unwind and become renewed. The Blue Goose is the old saloon that has been restored and turned into a little store, right here in Samaria just a few blocks from Crazy Cow Farm Adventures. Samaria is located near several reservoirs, where those that love to fish, can go enjoy the water. The River Lodge Resort property is just under 4 acres on the river with 200 feet of river frontage. There is a dock for guest use and a shallow area with stairs to it for wading and kayak/Paddleboard launch. There are lifejackets, towels, chairs and tables in the small barn by the river for guest use. Lots of pine trees for tent camping and plenty of gravel area for RV parking. There are two private homes on the property as well (owners and guest house). Learn more about this land: Riverside camping has 200 feet of river frontage. You can camp away from the river’s edge & enjoy playing in river some terrain is sloped. Loose gravel RV parking also available. There is one outdoor, half bathroom (no shower). We have a dock available for guest use. We have three kayaks and two paddle boards available for guest use as well as lifejackets. No lifeguard on duty! There is a designated fire pit by the river. Sunsets are beautiful and mornings are peaceful, afternoons sound like a little bit of a party with all the boats on the water. You definitely get the feeling you’re on vacation here. Close to City of Rocks, mountainous bike trails, side-by-side riding, hiking, snowshoeing, skiing, golf course just across the river and plenty of water sports. No boat launch on property.

2 nights at Crazy Cow Farm Adventures

The campers are adorable! Shayna has a knack for decorating and for making you feel welcome and "at home". The fridge was equipped with bottled water, oatmeal for breakfast, and the makings for s'mores over the fire. We had a blast riding the pedal cars to the "Blue Goose" penny-candy store. We stayed for 2 nights on our way from Salt Lake City to see Yellowstone, the Grand Tetons, and visit natural hot springs throughout Idaho. At the end of our trip, we needed to rest and pack up the camping gear for the flight home. On short notice, Shayna welcomed us, again, for 2 more nights. We were so happy to be there. When we drove in late at night we both exclaimed "we're home"! Everything was clean and cozy. The shower and toilets are a short distance from the campers. It was quiet, even when the goats got out, and so beautiful. We want our family and friends to experience Crazy Cow, and we would love to go back and spend a week to just rest and enjoy the scenery.

My son and I have camped in many places but this is now his favorite! Our hosts were exceptional, so kind and fun to talk to. I just adored Shayna’s camp and the love and effort she has put into it is so apparent. Best campsite for kids AND adults! There is so much to do. I fell in love with the animals and miss them already! We will definitely return. Already telling friends and family about this gem of a place! If you want animal fun, beautiful sunsets, stargazing, pedal carting, giant sandbox play, games, comfy campers with a/c or heating, and fascinating history all from the best hosts, this is your spot!

Eric and his wife were great hosts. Beautiful green grass and on the river. The fishing off the dock is great. I will definitely be staying here again as long as it’s on Hipcamp! Swimming was amazing.

WOW!! What a phenomenal stay my boys and I had! Shayna reached out to me before our trip to ensure we had the most comfortable trailer for our needs. She personally welcomed us to her charming farm. The place was beyond adorable, with an atmosphere filled with peace and tranquility. We got to interact with so many animals, including chickens, sheep, horses, calves, buffalo, and pigs. The sheep were sheared to perfection and looked like show sheep! Her friendly dogs visited us often, which we loved. And the puppies!!!! My boys were in heaven. Shayna had so many personal touches to her farm, making it fun and inviting for everyone who stays there. We rented her specialty bikes and had a blast riding around the property. I truly felt like Shayna gave us a gift by opening her world to us. We all need a slice of Shayna's life every now and then, just to slow down and enjoy nature. Everything about the place was perfect and serene. Thank you, Shayna, for creating such a beautiful space for others to enjoy!

This campsite was the highlight of our trip! We went swimming and kayaking in the river, and the backyard is so lush and green. The bathroom was also super clean. 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking to visit Shoshone Falls, it’s only about 40 mins away. We also loved that Eric and Andi provided firewood for us to use in their huge and beautiful fire pit!

The kids loved seeing all the animals at the farm especially the very friendly dogs and puppies, horse, pigs, goats, sheep, cows, bunnies and chickens. My son was excited to complete the star farmer program and get his badge and sticker. The playground and swings were also a hit. The host Shayna was very friendly and we would stay again if we were in the area. Thanks for a fun stay!

I loved the layout and privacy (I had tent site 1). Close to gas stations and the interstate but not close enough to hear the cars. The bathrooms were immaculate. Farm animals, toys, and a playground for kids. The stars were amazing. I will definitely return if I'm ever in the area again.
