We stayed in the bungalow and had a lovely time! Mornings and evenings right on the beach were heavenly!

Great spot for the beach alone. Recommend for the ease of watching the sunrise and sunsets, and to venture off during the day. Incredible garden, and decent place to sleep and have the basic amenities. Bed was comfortable, shower was warm, & nice to have a spacious studio. We stayed less than a week with a young kid. David was a great host. Our first hipcamp.

3 nights at Lā’ieikawai

Jelly was so very kind, patient and accommodating as we changed and rearranged dates to work with our plans and last minute flight changes. We had the perfect stay here! Chickens galore with the their calls and birds and their songs were the perfect morning greeting. Listening to the evening showers closed out each night perfectly. Everything was well stocked and thought out for guests at the North Shore. Everything needed for a day at the beach was available, including: boogie boards, surf boards, beach chairs, and an ice chest-saving us money in not having to rent anything. The splits for a/c were so refreshing and kept us cool while we were inside. Beds were comfy with cozy bedding, the kitchen stocked with all we needed and more! We hope that when we return, we can set this up as a place to stay again! If you have the opportunity, and the dates you need are open for this home, grab it quickly, you will not be disappointed! Thank you so much for a memorable stay on the North Shore, we already miss it!

10 nights at The Beach

We had a great time staying at David’s place. It’s nothing fancy, just the basics, but totally enjoyed being at a place that was clean quiet and on the beach. We literally spent every morning and evening sitting on the beach. David keeps the place neat and tidy.

3 nights at Hau'ula Hideaway

We loved the Hideaway - it was very comfortable and designed well. The garden was great. The kids (and us) enjoyed spotting geckos in the yard. Tyler and Tiffany are super welcoming and hospitable. It’s a great location with lots of amazing beaches within 30 mins drive (including our favourite just a few minutes drive away).

2 nights at Hau'ula Hideaway

The Hau’lua hideaway tiny home is a perfect spot to get away from the tourists on Oahu! The house is a set up beautifully for hanging out and a nice nights sleep, the hosts are kind and responsive and the location is perfect. The house is a few blocks to a great beach and a short drive to many awesome beaches, restaurants and tourist attractions. On top of this, popular north shore spots aren’t far and it is an easy hour to Honolulu and Waikiki, if that’s your thing. If you want to stay a bit off of the beaten path and have a relaxing place to rest your head at the end of a day out, this spot is for you!

It was basic, but we didn't want or expect anything fancy. The hosts were welcoming, but respected our privacy. I appreciated having an affordable option, especially right on the beach. I'd stay here again.

I stayed in David’s bungalow, and it was a great time! The cost point is very budget friendly, and for the traveler that is looking for a simple stay. David greeted us upon arrival and showed up his backyard (the beach). As others have noted, the beach is smaller, but private! The stay itself was good, “man clean,” and has majority of the amenities a couple would require. Definitely book this place if you want to be steps away from the beach to unwind after a day of activities!

7 nights at The Beach

My and my two friends from Australia stayed and I really liked this place, the beach has such a beautiful sunset in Dave’s backyard and Dave is so chill. You can hang out every night down at the beach and wake up for sunrise at the beach I think personally it’s a good place cause it’s away from the crowd and the tourist spots, and Dave is always there if you need and gives you a lot of clear instructions. I think people before writing negative reviews might misunderstand Dave because we all really enjoyed the stay.

Weekend Trip to Hau'ula Hideaway

The place was very clean and well equiped. We were impressed by the toilets and the outside shower. The place in the hosts' backyard was very welcoming! We would go again.

What a cute little spot! Very convenient to visit Northshore and Turtle Bay. Outdoor shower was great, hot water with good water pressure! Awesome hiking spots within walking distance too. My two kids loved sleeping on the loft :-)

4 nights at Hau'ula Hideaway

We absolutely loved this little shack! It was perfect for what we needed and the price point. We had 3 adults stay here, and with the a/c unit on at night we slept very comfortably with no need of the fan. The dry outdoor toilet and shower were great and appreciated little thoughtful adds to the place to make our stay more convenient. Thanks again Tyler!

We loved the hideaway. Great location. Showering outside is the best. Would 100 percent recommend this stay to anyone looking to stay in Hauula. We are a family of 4. Two small kids and they had a great time as well.

By far the most helpful hosts we have ever had on a vacation. After an emergency situation due to a very unfortunate event, David and Allison treated us as their own and went above and beyond to help us. We couldn't be more grateful for the the help they offered. An amazing place to stay. The location is so nice right on the beach and our bungalow was comfortable and had everything we needed. Would not hesitate to recommend these great people or the space they have created for travellers to stay.
