Camping in the A frame was absolutely perfect. We arrived late and left early as it was just a stop on our travel but it was exactly what we needed. The grounds were clean and quiet. The bed and bedding was more comfortable than most hotels. We used the AC in the A-frame for a little while but it cooled so well we ended up turning it off. The showers were huge in comparison to other campgrounds and they were very clean with hot water. Wish we could've stayed longer than the one night. We'll definitely go back on our next trip!

This was such a hidden gem! The cabin was adorable, clean, and close to a very nice bathhouse. We were right next to two friendly ponies, and a short walk from a variety of animals, which the kids loved feeding. The campground was clean, quiet, and peaceful. Lisa was so kind, and even brought us a bottle of wine because we were there to celebrate a birthday. We will absolutely be back!

2 nights at Piney Hills Campground

We stayed two nights in the large A-frame and had a wonderful time. The campsites are spacious, not crowded together like so many others. The bath house was clean, quaint, and so adorable. They even had motion sensor lights to light up the area as you walk up to it at night. Their animals are so precious and are fun to interact with. There is quite a lot of acreage and many trails, unfortunately we did not get to take advantage of them this trip (next time!). The hosts, Lisa and James, are incredible people that go above and beyond if needed. Their Farm and Campground is a continuous work in progress, but you can tell it is a labor of love. This is not a place for those who love KOA type campgrounds (no pool, no clubhouse or tennis courts, etc...), but I would highly recommend it for those who truly love to camp. And as we travel with our two little dogs everywhere we go, it was important for us to find someplace that was pet friendly. Our dogs had a great time meeting all the animals and seemed to enjoy their stay as much as we did. Lisa and James even provided some treats for them upon our arrival. Overall, a great experience!

This place is wonderful and I hope to be able to stay here again. My friend and our dog stayed in an A-Frame campsite. Throughout our stay I was so impressed with how our Piney Hills Campground site had all the simple necessities. Nothing more, nothing less, & in a pleasant style/decor. The land is beautiful, and it is filled with the world's cutest animals ! Emus, ponies, geese, ducks, chickens, goats, and three little piggies seemed as happy to see us as we were them. We got to listen to the sound of a distant (perfect volume) train whistle and rooster crowing during our stay too. A very comfortable time in nature was had. Thank you, Piney Hills Campground !

This experience in the backyard of Tim C’s exquisitely curated home was magical. From the firewood and birthday bubbly, to Wally and the detailed information before we arrived. PERFECT. Tim C is kind and thoughtful. The airstream was immaculate, cool and cozy. The location was quiet and squirrels, owls and falling pecans were rhythmic. I loved the glamping experience here, lots of cure animals on the property like ponies,lamb,ducks an Emu and the sweetest farm dogs you'll ever meet. Hot water in the showers and every site came with a fire pit,grill and picnic table. Had a lovely weekend here and can't recommend the wine tour enough.

I stayed in the Minor Cabin, and I really can't say enough good things about it! It's located in a beautiful area, with lots of woods to explore! The cabin is furnished with everything you could want, there is even a cute kitchen when you can prepare a meal. The cabin is very spacious, extremely clean, and oh so comfortable!! The cats on property are so cute, and some even come to say hello! The bed is very comfortable, the tub is amazing, they have a nice selection of DVDs, the porch areas are so lovely! You look right into the forest from the porch! This place is so extremely peaceful! I can't wait to come back!

Brittany was very responsive and understanding that I needed to check In later than the specified time. The campsite was INCREDIBLE and included a yurt, several grills, a fire ring, an outdoor shower and bathroom and plenty of woods to explore. 10/10 experience. Will be back next year!

Piney Hills Campground was amazing place to stay. The a-frame was great, even had ac so when we went into the a-frame. The farm has amazing animals that are so sweet and love to be shown love! We even did the covered wagon ride to the winery which was an add on, a wonderful experience where we got to see great views and different sites in Mauk. If you are able you should definitely take the trip to the winery! Can’t wait for our next trip up there!

I enjoyed a nice, quiet retreat. It rained nearly the whole time I was there so I didn’t make use of the swing bench or the fire pit, but I absolutely would have if it was dryer. Even so, the tiny house was cozy and I was happy to cocoon inside. I would definitely visit again!

The SpringHill area is pretty fantastic. The property was in a perfect location. We were tucked away but so close to the city. It was quiet and quaint and the host was very friendly. Had a great experience at this campsite! There were plenty of opportunities to roast food over the fire and just enjoy hanging out around the campfire, which really made for a cozy, memorable stay. We also made good use of the shower amenities and appreciated the easy access to a portable restroom — both were clean and convenient. The gas grill and generator were huge pluses and made things a lot easier during our stay. The only thing to note is that there isn’t a lot of lighting around the campsite at night. It’s definitely manageable, but I’d recommend bringing some tiki torches or other lighting sources to make navigating after dark a bit easier. Overall, it was an awesome spot and we’d definitely come back!
