Please note: we are a farm and have roosters....sorry for the noise but we love our animals. :) We have a clean toilet house. It is located between campsites 3 and 4. Within a couple miles of our property there is mountain biking, hiking, lake access of swimming and boating. Bring your kayak to enjoy seeing Lake Nottely! We live on the property, and it is a working homestead. We have chickens (roosters too). We ask that you keep your dogs *at your camp site at all times* (we have had camper's dogs run through the field at us and scare us to pieces and we'd rather not experience that again! lol) Want to get a workout in? Coweeta Creek Campground has water, electric, and septic on Sites 1, 2, and 3 as well as a firepit and picnic table. The bathhouse allows for hot showers and flushing toilets. Site 4 is for tents or small pop-ups. If you are interested in renting an RV and having it set up for you when you arrive, please check out Windy Sky Rentals 706-426-3062. https://windyskyrvrentals.com/. Each site is gravel, shaded, and sits along the peaceful Coweeta Creek. The campground property has a large field for games (kickball, soccer, volleyball), as well as a flat 1/4 mile loop which you can view our mini homestead farm. We have chickens, bees, vegetable gardens, and a small fruit orchard. We recently added a 1/2 mile trail, called Turkey Foot Trail, through the wooded area. The campground is somewhat secluded (some neighbors across the creek), but only 15 minutes from Franklin, NC and 15 minutes from Clayton, GA with plenty of shopping/restaurants. Once you are at the campground you won't want to leave the beauty of the creek! Strong Wifi is available at all sites. Network password will be provided before arrival. Property History: Coweeta Creek Campground WAS a 20 site, thriving, family/church oriented campground from the 1970's that was later sold, then neglected. My family purchased in 2022 and opened a few camping sites for a more family friendly, intimate setting. *Please send us a message if you are interested in renting out the entire property for family reunions, birthdays, or other events. There is potential for 10 sites with water/electricity along the creek, but we don't advertise it!

My family and I stayed at campsite number one. The scenery is beautiful and the whole park is very clean and well laid out. We loved that there was a good amount of space and privacy between the sites. The creek is very soothing and beautiful. It was very convenient having seasoned firewood and fresh farm eggs available to purchase on site. The eggs were delicious and the chickens greet you every time you walk to the bathhouse. Speaking of the bath house it was very clean and the showers were nice and hot with plenty of water pressure. There is an ingles 11 minutes away to stock up on food. There is also a beautiful easy trail 6 minutes away called Tessentee bottomlands preserve. Adam was a very welcoming and attentive host. I would definitely suggest this campground for anyone looking to have a peaceful, private camping experience.

Wonderful camp site #3 next to a lovely creek and a convenient camp toilet. It was easy to find the site, it was very private, and the stars were bright! We included two bundles of wood with our booking and we were very happy with the quality of the wood and the amount. Well worth the money. We would definitely return

Site 1 is beautiful. It sits right on the edge of the creek. The sounds of the water flowing over the rocks nearby were so peaceful. The property is quiet and well-maintained. The bathhouse was exceptionally clean, and the showers have fantastic water pressure. Owners are very nice and came out to say hello to us. Ten out of ten, and am already planning a return trip for the springtime.

Campsite #3 (as all the sites) was right on the creek, so we enjoyed the sound of rushing water during our stay. We had shade along the creek where the fire ring was situated, and open level mowed field where we pitched our tent. The owner also has some portable chicken coops in the large field, which we were pleased to see since we’re a fan of chickens and eggs, too! The chickens were neither noisy nor smelly, by the way. It was nice to have a toilet next to the site which is shared with other campers, but we never had a wait to use it.

Perfect days with the pack at the idyllic setting of Coweeta Creek Campground. The personal touches made us feel welcomed; planted flowers exploding with color, a clutch of chickens, and rustic outbuildings added to the personality of this need to return to spot. Days spent looking at deer and sitting next to a babbling brook reading and doing yoga, interspersed with walking dogs on Turkey trail and around the property, is fondly etched into my memories. Well cared for campground in a beautiful setting, Coweeta Creek is top drawer.

I enjoyed the sound of rushing water from the creek directly behind site 4. We were able to get firewood as an extra, and it was very nice having a warm fire as the night got chilly. I was mostly using this trip as an opportunity to try out some new backpacking gear, but found this spot to be rather serene and accommodating. The chickens are fun, too.

I loved tent camping at Owl’s Nest Campground. Stephen and Kord were super helpful getting us settled in. We had a beautiful lake front spot. We hiked around the lake and enjoyed some fishing. Great place to camp!
