Comes with almost everything for your off grid in nature experience, even an outhouse / shower enclosure.

Modern San Isabel Cabin

Our cabin is located on a scenic byway within the San Isabel National Forest at an altitude of 8600 ft. It is next to Lake Isabel where kayaking and fishing are popular in the Summer and Ice fishing snowshoeing and tubing in the Winter. You can explore nearby Bishop's Castle as well as enjoy hiking, bicycling or riding on one of the many trails. Wildlife viewing in the area is also plentiful. You’ll love our cabin because it provides the privacy and solitude of nature with the comforts of home.Learn more about this land:Modern cabin across from lake Isabel. This is a fairly new mountain home within the National Forest. There are three levels that can accommodate 4 guests comfortably in its 2 bedrooms, 1 and 1/2 baths and living area. There is also a full kitchen with stainless steel appliances and all the needed utensils. We have DirecTV,  wifi and a landline phone available.

Of course we had to sip some wine out on the little balcony.

Sunrise at Lake Isabel just nearby is a must-see.

Upstairs/loft bedroom with connecting 1/2 bath and space for provided air mattresses out of frame.

Cottonwood Camp

Open May through October.

This secluded, 2-acre campsite is the only place between the Royal Gorge and Lake Pueblo where you can fish and camp right on the banks of the Arkansas River. Accessible by watercraft only, you cannot drive to it or hike to it—you can only boat to it. There is no public road access to the camp.

YOU MUST PROVIDE YOUR OWN WATERCRAFT.

Access to the campsite requires your own boat. There are no direct roads for you take. 

You will be our only guests at this private riverfront location—no one else vying for the trout…no one’s boom box disturbing your sleep…no swimmers disturbing the fish.

Note: We’re open May through October, and during those months, we might have to close temporarily for safety reasons when river flow-rates exceed 1,300 cfs (cubic feet per second). If we need to close when you have a reservation and you can’t change your date, we will notify you of the closure and refund your money.

The Hillfort

Learn more about this land:Pitch your tent or drive your RV onto our property backing up to Florence Mountain Park and the San Isabel National Forest. Night skies are breathtaking out here, scenery is true Colorado. All amenities available in Florence only 15 minutes away. Only 45 minutes from Colorado Springs. Enjoy our gardens, morning coffee and internet available on our patio; retired chef makes phenomenol muffins often! Driveway is rock and dirt so reasonable ground clearance and good tires are recommended.  Bear proof dumpster on site. Reservations required. Campfires depend on Colorado fire bans. We both have much experience in the hospitality industry and have more plans for this property. All questions are welcome.

Silverwest Estates @ Butler Airport

THAT MOUNTAIN VIEW THO...

Use the Butler Airport main entrance (off County Rd 69) and follow the road (Airport Rd) for approximately 1.5 miles. Turn right onto Beech Boulevard and follow road for approximately .5 miles to the intersection of Beech Blvd and W Falcon Cir E. Take a left turn on W Falcon Cir E and follow to the end of the cull de sac. As you approach the end of the cull de sac (facing a distant castle-style home and away from the mountains) the 5 acre plot to your RIGHT is land you can occupy. I always stay on the cull de sac when I camp.

The 5.5-acre lot (#41) sits on the south end of the Butler Airport located off the intersection of Beech Blvd and W Falcon Cir E. The road consists of compacted gravel and dirt, it is maintained (leveled and trimmed) by the HOA but the lot itself remains a little more primitive and unkempt. The taller grass in the area is an ideal feeding/resting spot for heard of Pronghorn deer. Coyotes can also be heard from a distance at night. RV’s and pop-up campers should have no problem driving on the roads or cull de sac at the end of W Falcon Cir, and should even be able to drive around the lot with little to no-problem as it relatively flat. There are dumpsters located along Beech Boulevard to throw away trash.

The views and stargazing are amazing and you will find it difficult for the mountain range to leave your eye, but keep in mind this is an open grass lot with no shade or sun cover so I also recommend bringing equipment for shade/cover. Also, noteworthy,  each of the neighbors are a minimum of 5 acres apart from lot #41, one of them is the President of the HOA, the other is a Dorito shaped Airb&b property.
