The House where we live is the corner stone of the Bruce Property and is on the Colorado Register of Historic Houses.The residence was constructed between 1905 and 1912, using red bricks made on the site. John and Sophia Bruce, early pioneers in the North Fork Valley, were first involved in cattle raising. The family later became successful fruit growers. Cabin has fire pit located outside and a usable grill! A cooler is provided in room for short term guest Cabin Rustic- This cabin is very unique and off grid! Sleeping for up 8 guest. It recently had solar electricity installed, outhouse, outdoor shower unit with hot water, (outdoor shower not available in winter moths) and WiFi! Wood burner and propane heating options. These cabins are very different in their own ways, they run on solar, but we do have a back up generator for emergency use! All our cabins have electricity! Generator will run 3 times a day in high power demand or low sunlight conditions to ensure there is always power and access to utilities. 7am-9am 12pm-2pm 6pm-8pm These cabins are great for all occasions, hunting, glamping, family occasions, party’s, wedding events, ATVS, snowmobiles, horse back riding, star glazing, hiking! you name it we can for sure cater for it!

Owner's personal residence, treat it nicely! The space Cozy and open floorplan is ideal for a couple or up to 4 people. The loft above has a deluxe king size bed facing East for glorious sunrises over the West Elk mountains. The other side of the loft has a trundle bed where the lower twin bed rolls out from underneath the upper twin bed. There is also a standing desk with a Dell docking station and large monitor in the loft. No audible privacy other than the bathroom; everything is open. Pellet stove for heat if needed and backup propane heaters on the main level. Nice live edge furniture throughout (coasters and placemats provided, please use them!) and cherry rocking chairs for watching whatever streaming services you have subscriptions to on the entertainment center. Solid wood deck furniture and BBQ. Occasionally ATVs will pass by, neighbors have an easement to the forest but they will not use my land except to cross it. Guest access You can access the entire 72 acres and all of the cabin except for a few secured closet/pantry areas for the owner/cleaning crew. The generator/solar system shed is also locked. Plenty of parking. AWD or 4WD is preferred but it is a gravel road. Welcome to bring ATVs, go hunt in the adjacent National Forest, bring horses and your own hay, etc. Other things to note You may need to run the generator a few hours per day which is as simple as turning a switch in the kitchen if it is cloudy. If the weather is nice then the solar system will generally take care of everything. AT&T works well here and wifi calling via starlink internet.

Nice live edge furniture throughout (coasters and placemats provided, please use them!) and cherry rocking chairs for watching whatever streaming services you have subscriptions to on the entertainment center. Solid wood deck furniture and BBQ. Occasionally ATVs will pass by, neighbors have an easement to the forest but they will not use my land except to cross it. Guest access You can access the entire 72 acres and all of the cabin except for a few secured closet/pantry areas for the owner/cleaning crew. The generator/solar system shed is also locked. Plenty of parking. AWD or 4WD is preferred but it is a gravel road. Welcome to bring ATVs, go hunt in the adjacent National Forest, bring horses and your own hay, etc. Other things to note You may need to run the generator a few hours per day which is as simple as turning a switch in the kitchen if it is cloudy. Well-appointed log cabin at 9000' on Grand Mesa w/ Starlink internet on 72 acres borders National Forest and boasts unmatched views, massive aspen groves, and direct access to West Green Mountain trail (~1/4 mile away from the north edge of the property). This off-grid cabin has running water, full kitchen & nice bathroom w/ shower via solar PV system, propane appliances & backup generator. NO PETS and must have AWD or 4WD vehicle, no exceptions. Owner's personal residence, treat it nicely! The space Cozy and open floorplan is ideal for a couple or up to 4 people. The loft above has a deluxe king size bed facing East for glorious sunrises over the West Elk mountains. The other side of the loft has a trundle bed where the lower twin bed rolls out from underneath the upper twin bed. There is also a standing desk with a Dell docking station and large monitor in the loft. No audible privacy other than the bathroom; everything is open. Pellet stove for heat if needed and backup propane heaters on the main level. Nice live edge furniture throughout (coasters and placemats provided, please use them!) and cherry rocking chairs for watching whatever streaming services you have subscriptions to on the entertainment center. Solid wood deck furniture and BBQ. Occasionally ATVs will pass by, neighbors have an easement to the forest but they will not use my land except to cross it. Guest access You can access the entire 72 acres and all of the cabin except for a few secured closet/pantry areas for the owner/cleaning crew. The generator/solar system shed is also locked. Plenty of parking. AWD or 4WD is preferred but it is a gravel road. Welcome to bring ATVs, go hunt in the adjacent National Forest, bring horses and your own hay, etc. Other things to note You may need to run the generator a few hours per day which is as simple as turning a switch in the kitchen if it is cloudy. If the weather is nice then the solar system will generally take care of everything. AT&T works well here and wifi calling via starlink internet.

Grace is a sweet glamping option. The view from the breakfast table was lovely, the decor appealing and it was clean. It had everything we needed to make meals and wash dishes. The bed was comfortable. The furnace, electric stove and small heater for the bedroom made cool nights comfortable. Paonia is beautiful! The drive to Crested Butte from here is amazing!!! Karina was very communicative with clear instructions before our trip and was quick to respond to our requests. If you've never used a composting toilet before, it's an adjustment but it's a good option for glamping. The shower had hot water and enough pressure. I would stay here again.

Beautiful quiet location, but close to everything. They are on the Palisade Scenic Wine Byway so you can ride or walk out your door to several vineyards or into town. Scott is a super host and very informative and provides lots of things, chairs, picnic table, fire pit and wood and most importantly a very comfortable bed. Perfect location for sunsets also.

The glamping experience at ZenZen gardens is nothing short of magical. The views are gorgeous, flowers adorn the property, and the tent is comfortable & cute. Our dog absolutely loved being able to hang out on the property with other pups. We did the wine tasting and enjoyed the veranda which were additional pluses! Paonia is also a gem with a surprisingly amazing food scene and lots of things to see and do. We visited many local wineries (all charming) and made a day trip to Crested Butte. Perfect weekend!

Loved the cabin and the location was perfect! The bed was comfortable, with a good size fridge and lots out outlets too, so it had everything we needed. We were also able to bike to nearby wineries and walk through Dirk's orchards as well! The outdoor shower was amazing and such a nice treat during hot summer days. The fire pit was great too - I highly recommend staying here! Dirk was a fantastic and friendly host - than you so much!

One night wasn't enough.. What a sanctuary. Clean, green, so so peaceful, relaxing. I booked a second night in the deer 🦌 Tipi. Loved the solar bag showers, loved loved the views, and the private mini hike. Love that we could take our dogs because lots of places do not. Our dogs were in heaven. Highly highly recommend this sanctuary.

We were lucky to have the entire place to ourselves. I have a feeling the popularity will boom with this property. The views are great, peaches are amazing, it’s centrally located and the hosts are top notch. The AC and ceiling fan were so welcome after 90* days as well. We brought our camper van and upgraded to this spot for the AC but I’m sure on cooler days, spot #1 would be all we need. Oh, and the peaches…..

I was already looking forward to not having to set up a tent … but power? A fridge? AC 🤩😱🤩 After a 5 Hour Dr. in 100° and a full car - having a place to cool off was an awesome surprise. A nice 150 sq ft space with a comfy bed and bedding. What an easy stop. There also is plenty of fire wood and a fire pit with nice seating space and overall just a quiet and serene area to enjoy by ourselves. It was a great stay that I’d recommend anytime and looks like he has plans for a shower in the near future. There’s running water for dishes ( still just a porta potty.) But what really really set things apart? We happened to come in the summer months and on a heavy peach harvesting weekend. Dirk was so generous and guided us up to one of the Orchards he oversees to allow us to pick the BEST PEACHES IN THE COUNTRY! Truly … if you aren’t from the area and you’re unfamiliar with Palisade, peaches they are renowned for a reason 😉 100% value, amenities and generous hosts!!!

When we walked through the gate, I knew this was going to be an epic experience! The grounds are exceptionally beautiful with flower gardens, butterflies and beautiful views as the sun was setting. We sat on the patio under the cool mist that offset the heat of the day. We drank wine and laughed along side Cindie while her beautiful dog Ginger chased butterflies…and literally smiled the whole time! It was like ‘living poetry’. What a perfect way to end a day of traveling through the mountains:)
