The first time I saw this beautiful heavily wooded 12-acre property, I immediately put in an offer. That was 18 years ago. I spent the next 11 years chasing corporate goals which I finally realized were inconsistent with my soul. I started a family and decided to sell this property. I brought my then 2 year old daughter here so she could see it once before I sold it. As we drove up highway 285 through vistas each more stunning than the last, I was moved to tears by the beauty. Camp right next to the river and feel the peace of the water flowing and the bright stars in the sky. We are located 7 miles from Estes Park and a short 15 minute drive to the east entrances of Rocky Mountain National Park. Crosier Mountain trailhead is right across the street from our land. Walk down and grab the best cinnamon rolls at the Glen Haven General Store. Bring your own tents and sleeping bags for one of the best camping spots in town!

What a perfect spot!! Stayed here with a friend while we were on a national parks road trip - the cabin was perfect for two people, with a comfortable bed and the kitchen necessities. The hot tub on the porch was a perfect way to end a long day of hiking. Would definitely stay here again!

Right by a river, and a road but it was not noisy for us in a camper van. Porta potty on site. General store down the road but does not open until 9am in September so we didn’t get to go. Scenic drive leading up to the site. We had no cell service so prepare ahead of time!

What a cool experience! I hadn’t been able to go star gazing in forever since moving to Denver. Not only does John have an incredible night sky above his land, he’s also incredibly knowledgeable and a bona fide celestial tour guide. Whether you’re coming with curious kiddos or enthusiastic adults, you’ll have a great time.

What a fun night! I took my 4 year old for an over nighter and it was perfect. I didn’t have to pack much since so much was provided and ready. We had a nice dinner, played in the woods, enjoyed a fire then had a great nights sleep in the treehouse. Thank you Deborah!

I had an amazing time staying at this campsite! After the sun went down, we got to use a telescope and learn all about the stars and constellations. It was such a cool experience—peaceful, fun, and really eye-opening. Camping here isn’t just about enjoying nature, it’s also about connecting with the night sky in a way you don’t usually get to. I left feeling relaxed, inspired, and already looking forward to coming back again.

I loved camping on this site with some friends! We had 10 total people and it was the perfect size for our group. Easy to find and only 15 minutes from Lake Estes. The picnic table, trash receptacle, and port a potty made our load light for our one night of camping. Heidi was responsive and detailed, and has a great spot with the river. As far as noise, we only heard a few cars pass by when in our tents that weren’t a real bother, but the sound of the water was peaceful to fall asleep to. Listen to the cinnamon bun advice! We wanted more than 6 buns so we had to order the day before (definitely do!). We enjoyed being right by town to walk to grab any last minute needs. Next time I would love to dine at the bed & breakfast in town for dinner. Overall, Heidi was a superhost for us!

Weekend Trip to Cone's Riverside Canyon Cabins

The place was very clean, and tidy, everything you could need for a few days away was provided, the wildlife was abundant and the jacuzzi was decent. There's wifi and TV but we never turned it on because we were just loving the chill vibes of the trails, and private deck. We loved our stay in the Ever After, we saw wild turkeys, bats, elk, and more. The bed was comfy and the fans provided were a nice touch. The only downsides were the long black hairs stuck to the towels and shower curtains- I have short blonde hair, the slightly loud drunken neighbors in the next cabin over, and the broken tiles on the floor- you should wear slippers to be safe. Overall a great little getaway for us!
