Learn more about this land:Beautiful open field with a few trees. Turn off dirt road between two blue wagon wheels. That area is fenced with cattle and prong horn on the other side. Beautiful view of the Rocky Mountains and a direct view of Pikes Peak. Nice open area with fresh air quiet breezy lazy days. Beautiful sunrises and spectacular sunsets. Perfect for Star gazing at night. Hiking, biking, and there are areas nearby to go dirt biking, off road, fishing, boating, etc. Please come and see!

Spinney Reservoir and Eleven Mile Reservoir are both served from the water that flows though the property. This is the road into the pasture/camping area from the road. It will be on your left, just after you see the first fire ring.

Stargazing and campfires are allowed here! It gets windy, make sure to keep your fire under control.

A Special Place in South Park

Your base camp for Gold Medal fishing at Spinney Mountain Reservoir, or just some relaxation and stargazing! Once a gargantuan ranch, this section of South Park has been subdivided into residential and recreational lots so more of us can enjoy the local beauty. This neck of the woods remains sparsely populated, assuring you of peace and privacy.

Enjoy exclusive use of this six-acre spread which features trees, rock outcroppings, and absurd mountain views. Remote yet accessible by county road, the property is a few miles from Hartsel, where you'll find a general store and saloon, and the other historic railroad settlements of Park County. The property has flat areas for easy tent setup, and also gently sloping and wooded areas for exploring. All supplies (including water) must be packed in, and all waste packed out. I stashed a collapsible picnic table behind the big rock and you're welcome to use that, please just fold it and stash it again. There is a fire ring, please just check if there is in a burn ban in place. There are no structures at all on the property. Per Hipcamp and local zoning, you may not relieve yourself outdoors; you must be in a vehicle or privacy tent.

If you see some expensively outfitted motorcyclists cruise by, they're from the Rawhyde Training Camp up the road so give them a wave!

Tempest Sanctuary

This fun and romantic place to stay offers a history all its own. Located in the heart of Colorado, WonderLust is a perfect getaway, fun family weekend stay, group camping trip on property camp site, photo shoot location and more. Enjoy the surrounding areas hiking, fishing, local restaurants, shops and more. This location is off grid. Solar power is available, outdoor fire pit, small kitchenette inside with a composting toilet. Pets are welcomed.

Easy to fit two tents side by side plus a car at this location.

Serendipity Slope

This land was originally a gold mine in the late 1800s that was then abandoned and later subdivided and sold off. This 10 acres was known as Gold Dollar #1, #2, and #3. There is currently an agricultural grazing lease on the property. The main minerals that can be found are quartz, pyrite and garnet.

Another fire ban trick: just heat your coffee in the back of your car!

We spent a good amount of time just gazing over the land from the perfect viewing spot!

Bring your own camp chairs to pull up to the table at the site. 

Plenty of trees to string up a hammock at. 

If there is no fire ban when you visit, you can make coffee without having to get out of your warm tent in the morning :)

DeD Tick Ranch

Unbelievable mountain views in an area of open range.  This property is in open range, but far from the traffic or other disturbances, it is within a short distance from Antero, Spinney and 11 Mile reservoirs, as well as National Forests.
