The bunkroom has its own door for privacy, separate sitting area with table, sleeps 3 with a 200lb max weight limit for both top bunks. Inside the bunkroom I've provided fun coloring books with colored pencils, books and walki talkies. If you need a pack-n-play, please let me know! This space is perfect size for kids 10 and under, though adults have squeezed in! Nearby the Camper sits our chicken coop, each stay you’ll be provided a fresh eggs & you’re welcome to grab more from the coop and say hi! While the cottage is only 1/2 a mile from the city limits, it has a rural feel and is centrally located to all wineries and most of the major equestrian facilities including Galway Downs, Green Acres and California Ranch Company. For those who are coming to Temecula for horse shows, we also have a large barn with bedded stalls and turnouts (for an additional fee). There are designated horse trails right outside our gates which will even take you to Galway Downs. If you're into golf, you can enjoy Temecula's 7 PGA golf courses or Pechanga Casino which are also within a short driving distance to the farm. If horses or golf isn't your thing, you can visit Temecula Valley wineries which are all within 1/2-3.8 miles of the cottage gates. The wineries are not within walking distance of each other, and if you want to peruse all of them, we can arrange a driver for you (30.00/hour) who will drive (Jaguar) and take you anywhere within Temecula/Murrieta while happily waiting for you so you can quickly go to your next destination. If you're not interested in any of the above activities and simply want a "staycation," you can hang out here where you're welcomed to walk around the farm and interact with the animals. At night, enjoy the sounds of serenity while roasting marshmallows at our wine barrel fire pit! The "Hay Barn" cottage is a studio with high ceilings, a beautiful stained glass window, a kitchenette and a rustically chic bathroom. The Hay Barn sleeps 3; one queen bed with a twin pull out. Please let us know ahead of time if you need the pullout and you MUST put the accurate number of people who are staying here. If you have more people in your group and don't want to share, please check out the main cottage, Hammie and the Treehouse in separate listings. Please keep in mind that we are not a "pretend farm" set up to simply attract people to our facility. This is an actual working farm where shepherdess, Natalie Redding (Nat Geo Wild's, Shear Madness) and her working dogs, Lacey, Lad and Nesta work every day. This means there is dirt, dust, chickens, peacocks, alfalfa, sheep, bugs, and other living beings associated with nature and farm life. People who've not had the opportunity to experience the beautiful and grounding life on a working farm may not understand this. This place is so great. I want gatekeep but also tell everyone about it. This campsite in particular was very secluded, but still within walking distance of toilet. Granite Tabernacle had two campfires and the space it was in was so big there was so much room for activities. The animals walking around were so cute and the views were beautiful. The bathroom/showers were much cleaner than expected. The shower didn’t get warm but I got used to it eventually. The road leading up to each of the campsites did feel a little scary driving up, but I’m sure most cars can get there. Interacted with just a few people that worked there, but everyone was nice. The loop around the grounds was about 30 minutes walking and was nice to scope out potential next stays, which I definitely will be doing next year!

Had an amazing time!! The property is so beautiful and absolutely loved all the goats roaming around the sites. Outdoor shower?!? Yes please! Had great water pressure too :) Very quick communication with Ben regarding any and all questions. Only issue with our specific site was very little level ground for tents but we made it work!

We had such a wonderful stay this weekend! Candace and her husband were incredibly kind and welcoming hosts—they truly went out of their way to make our trip great. Their unique property is something special, filled with friendly animals everywhere you look: horses, a donkey, pigs, and even an ostrich! I loved seeing ALL the animals there. This place is honestly stunning. It’s beautiful, incredibly comfortable, and has everything you could ever need. Waking up to that morning view from the bed was absolutely magical — truly unforgettable. The whole space was spotless, cozy, and thoughtfully put together. Super well appointed, well maintained campsite! Wayfinding was easy, you have phone service the whole time and posted signs are very easy to follow. I was slightly worried it would be loud because of the cityscape down in the valley, but it was very quiet at night, and watching the city lights at night was like watching a campfire!

Where to go

Elsewhere in Orange County

Orange County has some of the best beaches in Southern California, from nearby Huntington Beach—a favorite among surfers—swanky Laguna Beach, shopper-favorite San Clemente (which also has beach camping), and the beaches of Catalina Island. This compact county is also home to plenty of fun attractions, including Anaheim’s own Disneyland.

Los Angeles County

The county north of Orange County, Los Angeles has all of the perks of a big city—from fabulous restaurants and nightlife to world-class museums—plus tons for lovers of the great outdoors. Some of the best beaches are in the Malibu area, which also happens to have lots of private and publicly run campgrounds, both by the beach and in the inland hills.

San Bernardino County

If you’re a fan of the desert, you’ll love San Bernardino County, home to the Mojave National Preserve and portions of both Death Valley and Joshua Tree National Parks. The county also encompasses much of the San Bernardino National Forest including Big Bear Lake, a popular forest getaway for Angelinos.

When to go

Newport Beach is a fun place to visit year-round, with mild winters and hot summers, but most people come here between July and August, when the temperatures are at their most ideal for swimming, though it’s usually hot enough to get in the water well into September or even October. If you want to beat the crowds, come in the winter, when the surfing conditions are at their finest. This is also the best time of year for spotting migrating whales.
